Baby Pokémon
If it's not broke, don't fix it! Unless it's a game of course.

Necia laid down at the mouth of her cave, her head in her paws, looking out across the lake. It was quite beautiful, what with the noonday sun shining brightly upon it, but Necia didn't feel like swimming, no matter how good it felt, even to a fire pokemon such a herself.
Necia was busy brooding again, about her brother. How she longed to see him again, for just one moment, if it were possible. She had to see him again, but would it be in battle, or would they be on the same side?
'Don't be silly, girl! He's probably part of the Fortress by now! You know what happens to those who try to escape!' Punishment by death, of course. Necia hadn't come across another pokemon in awhile, or at least one that would speak to her. She longed to break the silence that threatened her sanity, but even the sound of her own sighs weren't enough. Such torture. She scowled. So much for relaxation.

[Mind if I join?]
"You shouldn't eat those! Haven't you learned anything about the side effects of those berries?" "You worry too much. It's not like anyone's around. Getting confused or fainting is only bad if it's around enemies, right?"
Two voices mingled faintly in the distance; one that of a female, the other of a male. Two shadows crossed over the lake and, indeed, they were those of two pokemon. One floating, the other hanging onto the levitating one. Suddenly, the floating pokemon stopped in midair, staring across the water at a shadowed figure across the banks.
"Dole, look. I think there's someone over there."
Blinking, the pokemon on top of the levitating one jumped up and, with a powerful bounce, landed on the shore. Revealing herself to be a chingling, Fadolame smiled warmly at the quilava.
"Hello there. You don't look so happy." Dole said, her tone trying to be uplifting. Moments later, the other pokemon, a bronzor, floated over, his eyes weary and downcast. "Dole, it's rude to approach a pokemon so suddenly. I'm sorry miss. She's still young." At this remark, the chingling glared at her elder and grumbled to herself. True, Dole was only eight years younger then Helix, but he had always seemed to have a more authoritative presence that she dared not disobey too harshly. Helix sighed, proving that he had not slept well do to the chingling's continuous jabber about adventure.
