Maggie was playing. She was frolicking in the tall grasses. Jumping up and down, giggling as she did so. Playing was something Maggie enjoyed doing. The grasses were so tall that no one could even see Maggie if they had wanted to. That was one good thing about being so short, you could hide from many dangers. It was also easier to play hide-and-seek! That was a fun game to play, Maggie thought of it as she played. All of a sudden she was running. Running fast from something unseen. Her heart was pounding. She would look back at it, but she couldn’t see what was chasing her. She kept running. She got to the end of the prairie, not knowing where to go. She stopped and turned to look at what was chasing her, heart still pounding. . . . . . . .
Maggie awoke with a start. She looked around and nothing was there. Nothing chasing her, no one after her. She immediately smiled. She jumped up from her sleeping position and stretched a good stretch, purring as she did so, before she would go to begin her day. Her day would consist of playing mostly. That was usually most of what she did of a day. She walked from her sleeping place out into the tall grasses.
She started playing. Flipping and frolicking, running and jumping. The grasses were beginning to get too tall. She decided to take a break and walk to the shorter grasses where she could see and play more freely. After she had done so, she began her playing. Flipping again. One flip caused her to go over a hill, rolling and falling into a small watering hole. This caused her to begin splashing and playing in the water. Also causing her to not notice her surroundings.

The growlithe was slinking through the grasses, weaving in and out of his own little jungle as he did so. His fluffy tail wagged vigorously, sending the tops of the stalks of grass to vibrating as if something very large were shaking inside them. Hayden could smell the eevee from where he was now, and a growlithe never forgets a smell. She was sweet and playful, he could tell from her scent alone if not her playful tumbles as she frolicked in the grasses too. He was sneaking towards her now, blue eyes focusing on her intently. He was growling playfully in his throat, approaching her slowly.
His little paws made tiny dust devils in the dirt as he headed towards her. He paused, shaking his butt like a cat. Hayden was much like this eevee, he was extremely impish and playful as well. He didn’t have a care in the world! He also wanted to go all across the continent, meet all kinds of pokemon, and have lots of friends too. The grasses were growing shorter, and the plume on his head was slowly becoming visible and he dropped to his tummy so he wouldn’t be spotted.
Launching himself forwards, Hayden flew out of the grass and pounced at (hopefully onto) the unknowing eevee. He let out a roar, howling wildly as he flew through the air. His eyes watered with the speed and velocity of his expulsion from the grasses, and his hair flew behind him in a white blur.
Arrgghh! I’ve gotcha’! He growled, laughing.

As she was splashing in the water, Maggie caught a scent of something. She wasn't for sure what it was. She was in an adventurous mood today, along with her usual playful mood, so she jumped out of the water and headed back up the hill she had just fallen down, frolicking as she went. She always had a smile on her face. She was thinking of all the games she could play if only she had a friend. They could wrestle, or play hide-and-seek in the tall grasses, or tag, or , or almost anything! Well, the hide-and-seek would only be fair if they were as short as Maggie was. Maybe they could roll down the hill together? Or play in the small watering hole she had just found. That would be very fun
As she approached the top of the hill she re-entered the grasses, following the smell. What could it be. She had smelled many pokemon. A growlithe possibly? After about five minutes of sniffing, Maggie got bored and decided to walk out of the tall grasses and make her way back to the watering hole to play. That would be the rest of her day. And she wouldn’t get thirsty because of the water! It was a brilliant idea. She exited the grasses, and just as she did she heard a roar. It wasn’t a scary roar, but it did a good job of scaring the small Maggie. A growlithe jumped out of the bushes behind her right on top of her! ‘Arrgghhh, I’ve Gotcha’!’ it yelled at her.
Maggie squealed. Please don’t hurt me! I just want to go play! She looked at the growlithe with wide eyes as he pinned her down. Maybe he would want to play with her.

There was a rustle of fur, a thud, and the two went tumbling head over paws into the dirt. He pinned her furry shoulders down with his paws and let out his most fearsome attack in her face: roar. He watched the hair on her ears ripple backwards as his roar echoed into the ground. His own ears rang with the sheer loudness of the sound, coming from such a tiny puppy anyone would be surprised. Not to fear, the only other attack he knew was bite. And he rarely bit! He heard her squeal in terror and he leapt backwards.
Oh, gosh, I didn’t mean to scare ya’… He mumbled, scraping a claw in the dirt. His face broke into a toothy grin, I just wanna’ play too!
His tail wagged vigorously and he puffed out his chest as he sat down in the dirt, back legs spread-eagled in front of him as his pink tongue lolled out from the right side of his mouth. My name is Hayden, and I’m a Growlithe! He grinned again, seemingly very proud of his lineage. His tail wagged again, thumping the ground, and he waited for her to respond.

Wait!! He just wanted to play too!? Wow! Maggie had finally met someone almost just like her. He scraped his claws in the dirt as he apologized for scaring her. Then, almost immediately after, his face was gleaming with happiness. He had a LOT of teeth for such a small one. Maggie shivered in her mind. She would hate to make him mad. That could end badly. But if he really just wanted to play, then what could the problem be?! Maggie just wanted to play all the time and she’d never take a chance on hurting anyone.
Its okay. Maggie sat up and looked at the young growlithe. Who doesn’t love to play!? Playing is the best thing ever. You can play hide-and-seek, and tag, and wrestle, and all kinds of fun games! I found a watering hole at the bottom of this hill right after I rolled down it. That’s really fun too. You should try it! By then Maggie was bouncing around him, telling him everything.
She continued to bounce and he sat down. He introduced himself as Hayden, a growlithe. So her smell was right. I’m Maggie, I’m an Eevee! Do you want to play? She smiled and stopped bouncing looking at Hayden.

The growlithe’s tail continued to swing vigorously in smooth little arches in the dust. His blue eyes gleamed with excitement as she spoke of all the fun things they could do. It seemed like she had a lot in common with him, too, and they could be best friends. This simple, kind thought struck the growlithe and made his tail began to beat even harder. He jumped to all fours to begin their trek into the grasses to play hide and seek or whatever game came to mind. It was then that there was a loud thud, and he turned to see an aerial pokemon had landed nearby.
Hayden took a step back, paw lifted in midair as he balked at the sheer size of the creature. Eyes narrowing he let out a roar, his most ineffective but frequently used ‘attack’. Who’re ‘ya? He barked, hoping to see them cower before him. He couldn’t help but have his tail shake a little bit in excitement. The pokemon did not respond to him, but instead squawked a questioning note as if to say who, me? The growlithe burst into action, chasing the bird away into the grasses.
C’mon, Magg! He cried out, bounding through the grasses at breakneck speed. The bird, in reality, wasn’t as large as he made it out to be. In fact, it was quite a bit smaller than the both of them.

*sniff sniff* Siggy was checking out a small bush for berries, having not eaten in a couple hours. As he started to bite one, he took a look and noticed it was green. Green are bad, atleast they are for him. Stepping around the bush, he found some red ones, eating a few bite after bite. They were so sweet and he loved eating the red ones, they were good for breakfast, and he ate blue ones closer to time to sleep. He was so busy eating that he didn't pay attention to what was around him, but a random roar disrupted his eating. Out of nowhere it came, and easily did his big Nidoran ears pick it up.
Siggy jumped a couple feet in the air from the sudden noise. It sounded like a small doggy pokemon. He slowly returned to eating, getting a couple more berries before he went on. Just a bite here and one more...and there was his last berry for now. He didn't want to make him self too stuffed to move, but it was enough to give him energy for the rest of the day. Siggy turned around and had just started walking away when some bird and a growlithe came his direction. He only saw the bird at first, the growlithe caught his attention when he heard it blazing towards him. He layed as low as he could real quick in hopes that the growlithe would be able to jump over to avoid a collision.

A smoky-grey poochyena creeped around in the grass, scenting the air as he went. Finally he caught the chent of three pokemon- An eevee, a growlithe, and a nidoran. He was actually away from his two aggresive brothers to look for food, but instead he found somebody who might want to play. He blinked his blind eyes and creeped closer, just to smell and hear the growlithe chasing, but he smelled the nidoran right in front of the bird and the growlithe. "Look out!" he howled, dashing towards the scent of the nidoran. He attempted to push it out of the way, hoping he would be able to.
