The story Of Midnight Acres
It is believed that the lands of Midnight Acres went un-noticed for several years before a family of traveling horses, moving south, came upon the sacred lands. In the north, the lands were luscious, creatures thrived upon its goodness, there was shelter, food and water, and all was plentiful. However, as the small herd continued south, to reach their journey's end, they found the ground they walked upon was quite the opposite from the northern lands; here, food was scare, water was dirty from its journey, and shelter was poor. No flighty deer or birds sang here, but wolves roamed, cursing under their breath, snarling and hissing. Ravens called from their high nested homes, the noise was deafening in such silence.
The herd of travelers were soon halted, as the lead's mate, Cielo was heavily pregnant, and was close to birth. The lead stallion, named Karkaroff; was a dark and evil creature. His life depended on that of blood, fighting and war. And his mate was a light blooded slave, whom, over the years, he had grown attached too. Despite his feelings for her, he still treated her like scum; it was only when she became pregnant with his spawn that he began to treat her with respect and honesty.
Cielo eventually gave birth to her first son, and Karkaroff named him Dio. Little did he know that his son would soon become a never ending legend to all equines living in Midnight Acres. As the years passed, the herd moved on, away from the new, mysterious lands, but Dio wished to stay. In time, more equine arrived, and Dio, having natural power to take control of any situation, became the lord of this world. Every creature in the lands of Midnight Acres bowed down to him.
As the years progressed, Dio died as an old lord, leaving many descendants. However, there are still many mysteries to unfold, as more of Dio's relatives arrive on his lands and cause havoc and destruction to many lives. The whole population is descending into madness, and eventually, war begins to erupt. What is to come of the lands that were once peaceful and free of any hassle? Come to find out.
