A wild cry split the silent air, echoing through the rocky walls of the Cascade Canyon. It was not a cry of battle, or even a cry of fear. It was a shout of happiness and the joy of being free.
The feeling grew within Sora as she took wing, wheeling and soaring under a gray sky. Her long tail feathers trailed behind her, swirling elegantly with her movements, as she winged her way through the canyon.
With a stroke of her graceful wings, the Articuno climbed ever higher, until she became little more than a speck of blue against the gray horizon.
Then, suddenly, the bird tucked in her wings and dove for the earth. Faster and faster she fell, until she became a blue and white blur. And just when it seemed that she would meet with a messy end on the rocks below, those graceful wings opened up to break her fall and carry her toward the heavens once again.
Sora heaved a laugh, still brimming with excitement and energy one would not expect one her age to posses.
As she rose into the clouds, the approach of a second Legendary bird went unnoticed...

Eh. Couldn't think of what to write.

Kuro snarled to himself. Some ideotic lowlife of a bird thought it would be smart to play around in his territory. Though technically it wasn't his territory, he was only here because he'd tried in vain to catch up with Zilla, only to see her disappear as he approached.
That ideotic lizard was ruling the Dark Lord's life. He quickly cringed, remembering she could read minds. After no punishment came, he relaxed, and continued his moaning. If he'd never met that black snake, he could be relaxing now, maybe terrifying a few Spearows, you know, normal life. But Zilla had forced him into her slave, making him follow her around, even though he couldn't teleport like her.
But now she'd disappeared for the last time, he wouldn't follow her now! Though he made himself sound stubborn and brave, he was absolutely terrified she would find him. She was too busy with Rayzor to notice his absense, but still, even if you weren't a sniviling wimp like Kuro.
He snarled as the stupid bird screeched again, and caught the glimpse of a blue tail. An Articuno? So a threat too! He had to show her her place. Kuro opened his wings and shot into the air, swooping high above the Articuno, before lunging towards her with a Drill Peck. It was more of a warning than an attack.

A started cry was uttered as Sora's wing was pummeled by a sharp beak. She was even more surprised to discover that the beak belonged to a Moltres. It had been a while since she had seen a fellow Legendary, but this meeting was obviously not on good terms.
The Articuno banked sharply to the left, and wheeled through the air so that she soared above and behind her attacker. From this angle, Sora could easily track the other Flying Pokemon's movements. She did not know what had possessed this Legendary Bird to attack one of his fellows, but she was not about to let him bully her around.
With a flap of her graceful wings, the Articuno sent a gust of Icy Wind at the Moltres.

Cocky, arrogant and an all round ideot, Kuro didn't think Sora would DARE attack him, so he was flying slowly back to his perch when her Icy Wind hit him.
"How DARE you attack the Dark Lord!" he screeched at her. Kuro's nickname - the Dark Lord. Nobody else called him that, just himself. Apparently he was the strongest dark Pokemon ever (with the exception of Zilla, the black Rayquaza who scared the living daylights out of most Pokemon, especially Kuro).
He suddenly remembered how Zilla could read thoughts, and though he knew she was nowhere nearby, he didn't want her to know he was scared of her. Oblivious to the fact she knew full well anyway, he quickly changed his thoughtpathh so he was thinking about the other legendary in front of him. She didn't seem that strong for numerous reasons.
First of she was a girl. So of course she'd be weak (with the exception, again, of Zilla). Second, she was the stupidest type there was - ice. It was pathetic, he could melt it with a single breath! And she was an Articuno! That was proven to be the weakest of all the legendaries (don't ask me where he got that information from)!
He growled at her, a strange noise for a bird to make, yes, but he did it. "Feel the force of my fire!" he shouted, sending his blue flamethrower at her with about half his full force. The other bird didn't deserve his full attack.
(I do appologise for Kuro's behaviour, feel free to kill him or something)

"Feel the force of my fire!"
As the Moltres unleashed a terrible spout of bluish flames, Sora's soft brown eyes widened in surprise and fear and she loosed a sharp cry. Fire-type attacks could make short work of an Ice-type, like herself, and the Articuno was well aware of that fact. She had also learned that her icy moves weren't very effective against the Fire-type, so in order to have a chance at winning this bout, she would need to change her strategy.
Using her surprising Agility, the Articuno swerved out of range and the Flamethrower attack hit empty air. She had avoided a devastating hit that time, but she didn't know how long she could keep this fight up. She wasn't as young and energetic as she used to be.
Over the years, she had gained much valuable battling experience, and learned many powerful techniques. One of the moves she had at her disposal was a Water-type move she had learned just in case she needed to fend off an aggressive Fire Pokemon. Water Pulse. It wasn't a move she needed to use often, but now she found herself very relieved that she had access to it. It gave her renewed hope to win this fight, or at least escape.
Summoning her strength, the Articuno retaliated against the Moltres with a powerful spray of water.

Kuro was nowhere near as storng or as fast as he thought he was, and her water attack hit him full on, knocking him to the floor. The drenched bird squaked angrily, shaking his wings to kick-start the vlue fire that had been put out by Sora's attack.
"Stupid ice bird," he growled, turning away from her and opening his wings to blow dry them. His own blue flames didn't hurt him, and he was soon dry again. But he definately didn't want to go through that again. He kicked off the ground, flying away from her. He'd find somewhere else to rest.
