First time out

[Latias 24]

Flarewind look around the forest cautiously. It is so quiet...yet, danger could be anywhere. The Vulpix shook her head and try to calm down. Yet, it didn't shake of the eerie feeling the dark rainforest give her.

And it didn't help that it is going to be sunset soon.

Flarewind look around again, before walking forward, hoping to find shelter before night comes.

[Ren]

"Hi!" a voice exclaimed, jumping from the top of a small tree in the rainforest. A mostly black eevee grinned at Flarewind.

"Don't scare her!" someone scolded the male eevee. This pokemon was a normal female eevee. A poochyana followed her.
"It's late. You shouldn't be out by yourself," he informed the vulpix.

All three were children, none much bigger than Flarewind. Siblings, they called themselves, though only the twins were blood related.

"Hi!"

Flarewind quickly turned around and bristled at whoever it is. She calmed down when they showed themselves up.

"It's late. You shouldn't be out by yourself,"

Flarewind look at the Poochyena, before replying, "I am searching for a shelter." The Vulpix noticed the odd coloring of the male Eevee, and that the fact these three are probably younger than her. "Never judge a pokemon by its look," Flarewind reminded herself, just in case.

"Why are you all out here? It is obvious you all know that it's late," she asked, curious.

[Ren]

The three looked at each other. Finally, the female eevee decided to answer. "We live here. And, our friend is close by," she replied.
The brothers nodded in agreement.

"Do you need a place to stay?" the male eevee asked, being the closest one to the vulpix. He looked back at the poochyana, planning to ignore anything his twins says.
The poochyana made a shrugging motion. "I'm sure Ai won't mind," he assured him. The eevee grinned and turned back to Flarewind. "You can stay with us for the night!" he exclaimed.

Flarewind didn't even have time to respond. "I guess so," the Vulpix answered, a bit feeling stunned. She doesn't like being all alone in the dark either, so the best option is to go with them, then figure things out later.

If there is later.

"So, we haven't introduce ourselves," Flarewind said, trying to start a cheerful conversation where she can be included, "I am Flarewind, you all are?"

[Ren]

The female eevee walked up, pushing her brother over in the process. Hey, she was the only girl in the group, excluding Ai. But Ai was much older and bigger. So, the eevee needed another girl around if only for a short amount of time.

"My name is Dawn," the female introduced herself, sitting next to Flarewind with a cheerful expression.
The poochyana bowed his head in respect. "I go by Dormin," he added to Dawn's introduction.
"Don't forget me!!! I'm Shadow!" the male eevee exclaimed, pouting at his sister for pushing him.
"It's nice to meet you," Dormin said.

{Merry Christmas!}

"Dawn, Dormin and Shadow," Flarewind repeated, trying to remember, "Well, I am Flarewind." She look at the two Eevees.

"Are you two siblings? Twins maybe?" Flarewind guess, seeing that those two look alike. But then, all Eevees look alike, but that's not the point now.

[Ren]

Dawn nodded in answer to Flarewind's question. "Yeah, we are." She didn't sound proud of the fact that Shadow was her brother, though.

"Technically, we're triplits. But our other sibling died a couple days after birth. We never knew 'im," Shadow explained.
"But it's okay; we have Dormin," Dawn exclaimed, shooting a grin in the poochyana's direction.

"What about your family?" Dormin asked, trying desperately to get attention off of himself.

{Me too, I wish you tons of presents!}

What about your family?

"I don't know anything about them anymore," Flarewind replied, "Just left them." She doesn't sound very happy about it, but still, every pokemon have to be independent some day right?

"You three seem very close," Flarewind smiled, "Any other relation perhaps?"

[Ren]

"Um...well, we have an older sister. But like Dormin, she isn't a blood sister," Dawn answered. Shadow nodded. "And, we had a 'mom' for a while, but she's gone now," he added.

[Latias 24]

"Oh," Flarewind said, blinking, "That's sad, what happened?" However, just right after the question, a roar can be heard in the distance.

"I guess we better find shelter first," Flarewind laugh meekly, "If not we will be food soon."

[Ren]

"Nah, I wouldn't worry," Shadow shrugged, but nonetheless started walking deeper into the rainforest.
"It would be better if we got home," Dawn muttered, trailing behind her brother.

Dormin smiled at Flarewind. "We live a short distance away from here. C'mon," he said, waiting for the vulpix to go first.

"Alright," Flarewind said, following them, "Thank you all so much." She followed between the group, Shadow and Dawn in front of her, Dormin behind her.

[Ren]

The group finally came to to a hole in the ground.
"There's a tunnel that leads to our home. It's big enough for us to get through, but too small for predators," Dormin explained.
"And Ai has another way of getting in," Dawn stated happily.

"You see, Ai's a ninetails. She's too big!" Shadow laughed.

"A ninetales!" Flarewind gasp in admiration, "That's cool!" She look at the tunnel, admiring where they live. So well planned, so safe...

[Ren]

Shadow laughed at Flarewind's reaction to Ai being a ninetails. "Lucky duck gets to live for over a thousand years! I wish I were a ninetails!" he exclaimed, crawling down the hole.

What awaited the group, as one by one they went down the tunnel, was a large open space underground. There were three small piles of grass and two bigger ones, supposedly a place to sleep. A stack of berries sat in the corner-mostly for healing purposes, of course-and there was a small spring of water towards the middle of the cave.

"Home sweet home," Dormin laughed.

"I wish I could evolve soon," Flarewind mused, following them. She is the last to crawl down the tunnel.

Home sweet home,

Flarewind look at the wonderful place. "It looks really comfortable," she said, "So I agree, home sweet home." Then, she noticed the stack of grass.

"I guess I better go out and get some for myself on this temporary stay, no?" she asked, not sure what to do.

[Ren]

"Naw," was Shadow's reply. He grinned. "One of them is mom's. And, well, remember? She's gone." The other two nodded as they made themselves comfortable.

"Well, well, well," a mature voice entered. A ninetails walked into the cavern by some entrance that the siblings knew nothing of.
"You waited an awfully long time to come home. I see you brought a guest," she said, smiling and nodding respectfully in Flarewind's direction. "Welcome."

"Ah, thank you!" Flarewind replied, flustered. She felt so small. The Ninetails is so...grand...Flarewind's jaw drop open in awe. The vulpix quickly close her mouth, embarrassed, when she realized what she had been doing.

[Ren]

Out of kindness, Ai pretended not to notice the vulpix's actions. She instead went to one of the larger stacks of grass and sat.

"You look tired," Dawn said, jumping up to her. "Yes. But you don't," was the reply. She looked in Flarewind's direction. "How long will you be staying with us, dear? If you need anything, please tell me."

Flarewind actually sighed in relief when the Ninetails didn't seem to notice her actions earlier.

"I...actually don't know," Flarewind thought, "But I wouldn't stay long! I will leave tomorrow morning if you want!"

[Ren]

Ai laughed lightly. "You stay as long as you want. It's no burden," she told Flarewind.

"In case you didn't know, this is Ai, Flarewind. And Ai, this is Flarewind," Shadow introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Flarewind smiled, "Thanks for being so nice to me." The latter look around, before asking, "Don't you all have anything I could help with?

[Ren]

"Don't worry about anything," Dawn told her, "we can take care of things."

"If there IS anything to be t aken care of," Dormin interjected.

Flarewind blinked. "Okay, thanks," she said, a smile wide on her face, " So what do you all want to do now?"

[Ren]

Shadow shrugged. "We sleep, I guess." Then, more excitedly, "Then tomorrow, we'll go adventuring!"

"You havn't searched the whole rainforest yet?" Ai joked to herself, rolling her eyes. She looked at Dormin. "Make sure he doesn't run off again. You're in charge."

Dawn pouted. "I wanna be in charge!" "Dormin's older," was the ninetail's reply.

[Latias 24]

"You all never leave this forest?" Flarewind asked in curiosity, after giggling at the small drama.

[Ren]

"Of course we have! This bonehead always gets lost, and we have to search all of Erymire to find him!" Dawn ranted.
"I don't always get lost!" Shadow protested, pouting at his sister.
"Yes, you do," Dormin informed him.

Ai laughed and turned to Flarewind. "I couldn't say ALL of Erymire, but most of it. Last time, he got in a fight with some Floatzel."
"They were askin' for it!" was the eevee's only defense.

[Latias 24]

"A floatzel?" Flarewind blinked, "What's the story?" She is curious of what the male Eevee is defending on.

[Ren]

Dawn rolled her eyes as Shadow grinned and turned on Flarewind. "It's actually an interesting story," he started, looking proud of himself. "You see, I met a couple Buizel on one of my many adventures. They were telling me about this bully Floatzel that was bothering them. So, I went to go put a stop to his bullying." Shadow looked triumphant.

"But he got his butt kicked and another ninetails came and saved him," Ai finished.
