Rex blinked, the familiar sound of the forest greeted him as Peliper flew off into the horizon.
The forest only slightly resembled the forest he had been born in, and it was not a happy place for him to be in. The memories from his old forest tore at him, ate him until there was nothing left except a sad and nervous little creature.
His memories aside, he needed to find a place to stay for the time being, and he thought that it would be best to search in a place where he was at home... regardless of his painful past.
Rex stepped under the shade of the tall trees and pushed through the undergrowth. His dark green tail dragging behind him as he silently moved deeper into the trees.
It was getting late by the time he arrived at a small stream, he decided to call it a day and quickly wash up before finding a safe place to sleep.
He slipped into the stream, washing the mud off of him and carefully tending to his tail. It had become a mess of twigs, mud and blood as he marched into the forest.
He ignored the stinging pain and cleaned the tail, after he was certain that it was clean he quickly jumped over to the bank and gazed around. The area was full of trees of course, but he didn't feel that a tree was right - not since he barely knew the forest. Instead he moved toward a small boulder, quickly and quietly digging a small hollow before slipping inside and waiting for sleep to come.
But his mind was racing away, thinking of all the events that had occured before arriving here in Erymire. His thoughts slowly drifted to the Sceptile, and he felt a pure hatred boil up inside him. The hate made him think of terrible things as he lay there, curled up and safe from the world above. Yet he still did not sleep..
