Jaena had been raised to always behave properly with perfect manners, looks and skills - according to the flock of Swablus of which she is from. She was taught only to accept the finest of everything - including berries. All of the berries here were mighty fine, which is why she decided to be here.
But, there was no one else in the little place where she resided, but she didn't want to hunt. She was fine here. She just had to wait; a proper Swablu should always wait.

Kayon looked at the swablu, his red eyes watching silently. He had never really seen a swablu up close before. Truly it was a new experience. He blinked once, and then stepped out, deciding to take on a friendly approach. The young totodile hadn't talked to another pokemon since the tribe, and that had been six years ago. It was completely different now. He had known his tribe his whole life, but he was only just meeting someone. Unsure of what to say, he rubbed his dark hands together, watching the swablu a while longer. Finally, he stepped forward beside her and said,
"Hello."

Jaena was startled at the voice she heard, but she tried not to look it. A real Swablu must be ready for anything. Looking towards the noise, she spotted a Totodile being the one who spoke to her. "Hello." She replied. "My name is Jaena, I am pleased to make your aquaintance. Ad you are?" She asked in the most polite, sophisticated voice she could. She could NOT seem common at all, and even average was a few steps below her.

He looked at her for a moment, marveling at her interesting color variation.
"Nice to meet you. My name Is Kayon."
He replied evenly, beggining to observe his surroundings. He noticed the plentifull berry bushes, and only then realized he hadn't eaten since the previous night.
"So, do you live around here?"[b/]
He asked, eyeing the berries hungrily. He wouldn't eat them if this was her territory, even though she seemed friendly enough. Maybe she would even have a practice battle with him. He couldn't remember the last time he'd tried out his moves with another pokemon.

"Yes, I do indeed. I have resided here for a few years now, so this place is certainly my home. I have a variety of food here, so it is the perfect location, do not you think?" Jaena replied, with an air as though she was the queen. "So, what brings you here, if I might inquire?" She was wondering why a Totodile, with colours like those, would be wandering around here. From what she heard, they liked water, so to fulfil her curiosity, she asked. However, she did not ask about his markings. That was quite rude, to comment upon one's appearance if it is not a definite compliment.
"Oh, forgive me; might you prefer to talk over dinner?" With all of these berries, it would be rude not to share, and there was also nothing wrong with showing people what you had.

Essa hadn't been too far from the center of the groves, wandering it seemed for hours and conflicted with the choice of berries surrounding her. She had taken slight nibbles here and there and found that for once she was being picky. Not many of her kind were that way, berries were a rare delicacy to an Eleqqus, those who mainly delighted in grasses and bark enjoyed a sweet berry now and then. Passing here and there she allowed a soft nicker evade her as her cloven hooves parted her ways for her. Most of the berries were picked from below her knee level, having been devoured by shorter and smaller pokemon, while at her level the berries were abundant. The berries shifted from varied shades until finally catching her eye was a succulent shade of pink, surely a color of somber sweet flavor. She allowed her tongue to trace one berry slowly taking in the skin's possible defenses before slipping the tiny treat into her mouth. She savored the first taste before indulging in a few more, knowing that not long before she had eaten a hearty meal she would only indulge in a few, but as she took in a good mounthful she heard the voice of others and ground to a halt.
Pointed ears that normally settled back forced forward as she listened, only two others spoke on the other side of the bush...smaller, she felt no qualms of perhaps introducing herself. A few meager paces and her head peaked through before the rest of her entered the scene, a smile planted upon her face. A twist of her head allowed her notice to take of the two pokemon, both of which she had never seen before. She whinnied lightly before speaking.
"Hello, sorry for intruding, I'd rather peek out than be sought. I'm NicEssus, but call me Essa, so who and what are you two??"
Essas words ended with a warm smile sure to please any with a soft and kind disposition.

Jaena turned as she heard someone start talking to them. At first she was a bit surprised; she hadn't even known that a pokemon such as this existed, but still, she would have to treat them normally.
"Greetings, Essa. My name is Jaena, and I am a Swablu. It is very nice to meet you." She replied, nodding. Well, the more pokemon she knew, the better.

Kayon nodded gratefully, turning red in embarassment as his stomach rumbled again. At the sound of a voice, he turned around. He hadn't seen many pokemon in his life. Mostly just totodiles and some other water pokemon. Not to mention Jaena the Swablu. But a pokemon like this.....
He blinked, realizing he was staring rudely.
"Hello. My name is Kayon. Please to make your aquaintence."
He said, looking up at the pokemon that stood a fair three size taller then himself.

Jaena watched Kayon's reaction, and then she turned back to this new pokemon.
"We were just about to have something to eat, and you would be welcome to join us if you wish." She said. It would be rude not to ask - and anyway, she was curious about Essa, and by Kayon's reaction, he probably would be, as well. Jaena gestured to the burry bushes around her.
"We have plenty of berries that you might be interested in."

(Looking between the two she smiled wider, the girth of her proud features extending to capacity as she took in their names. Strolling forward upon the bird pokemon's request, or, the Swablu named Jaena and dropped down to a curled position. Her eyes never stopped in motion taking in the two who seemed so generous right then to offer their greetings and now food.
"No food for me thanks, I ate while wandering beyond these bushes, but I will sit with you both as it is rare I find pokemon so nice to talk with."
Finishing her words she shied away from talking more, she felt too upfront and naive then but it was okay to be that way sometimes.

Kayon watched the two for a moment. He had never met pokemon so modest and formal. In fact, he was so used to just biting down on whatever he could find that it was even a surprise to himself that he had any manners at al.
"Oh... Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment. And it's an equal pleasure for me to meet pokemon who aren't preparing to attack me."
He said, picking a small berry off and examining it. It had a slightly dark purple color, with a shiny, oil-like pink film over it. It's cap was a rusty brown and it smelled like lavender and rosemary, making his mouth water. But, thinking of impressions, he turned around and held it out to Jaena.
"Here. It smells delicious."
He said, handing it to the swablu.

"Yes, a lot of pokemon here do not seem as... willing to just talk. Always fighting, with these other pokemon, it's dreadful. At least it's quiet here." She said. At least these weren't the rough, rowdy type - it was so annoying when pokemon were like that. Essa and Kayon seemed to be decent.
"For me? Why, thank you, Kayon." She replied, as he gave her the berry. The smells were indeed delicious, and it looked to be a delightful-tasting berry. She popped it into her mouth and ate it. It was slightly tangy, but with a heavy sweetness that really balanced it out.
"Oh, my! That was simply superb! We must find you one - it would be a shame to not have that taste.

Essa simply delighted in the presence of such interesting members that as they examined the one berry and took part in it she was quick to be in search of them. Of course, down low the fewer the berries were and younger as well, up high fewer pokemon could dare to reach thus allowing those to ripen to perfection. Standing once more she leaned to her hind legs only and stood staring down upon the tops of these bushes searching for similar berries. So many seemed identical but the scent was one in a million, catching her quickly she found the horde, several of them slightly larger and brighter than the one Jaena ate.
"Hold on, here are lots!"
Essa spoke quickly as she was not prone to standing erect as such, taking hold of the most abundantly filled branch she pulled and soon came loose with many enough to fill them up. Some fell quickly to the ground as she decended to laying down again, the rest remained shimmering in the light as she dipped it down to them and placed it before them.
"There, plenty enough to sample and to gorge!"
Her last word ended with a cheery chuckle as she watched them both once more. Friends she could tell were quickly being made here.

Kayon smiled greatfully. His own rumbling stomach was calling for him to satisfy it.
"Wow... It must be great being that tall. Thanks, Essa!"
He said in a mixture of grateful awe, watching the ponyta lower down from her hindlegs and hand them the berries. Delicately picking one up, he bit into it, savoring the juicy flavor. Indeed, it was marvelous! The millions of mixtures flowed through his mouth, reminding him of a cool, icy stream on a hot summer day. Like pecha and oran berries mixed with a brilliant smelling attack. He sighed. It was nice to have yummy food, but even nicer to have enjoyable company. Really, he couldn't ask for anything more.

"Why, how kind of you Essa. It wouldn't be very good if you two would miss ou on this pleasurable experience. You must try some at some point; if you're not hungry for the rest of your day, then you simpley must take some home with you. I doubt that one could have ever tried that taste before!" Jaena said, happily.
"So, Kayon, what be your opinion?" She asked, watching him eat the berry. She could just taste it again; this made her very grateful towards Kayon for finding this. And then Essa got more! These seemed to be very nice pokemon, and hopefully they could become more than just aquaintances.
((Oh, no! My big fancy vocabulary is running out! xD)

Her stare passed between the two other pokemon, smile planted merrily upon her features as her long winded tail swirled at her side, the orb hidden within the tip glowing a solemn color of blue, a color of comfort and relaxation. Jaena was right though, although she had eaten recently to taste something that smelled so good might fit her well, it's not like she would find another berry like this after she left these bushels...whenever that would be. Dipping her head her mane strolled down to her neck and dusted against the ground momentarily as she plucked some of the berries into her mouth. She cherished the taste for as long as she could fathom, tiny sounds of delight escaping momentarily until she finally swallowed. She looked to Jaena and chuckled.
"You were right, they are delicious!!"
Her words filled with laughter only lasted for so long before she thought of other things.
"So, where do you guys live? I belong no where, perhaps you guys have somewhere to get to?"
She was beyond curious now, what if she had found accomplices in wandering? How great would it be, two to take with her...they were just small enough to carry if they grew tired, what an idea!! She got ahead of herself, settling down she waited for a response.

Jaena chuckled. "Well, I wouldn't be lying to you. Make sure you take plenty - these seem to be rare; I haven't seen them anywhere else." She said. "Kayon, you are a magnificent berry finder, you know." Jaena had always been careful to stick to eating the berries that she knew about; she didn't always like surprises, but if someone else offered her something new, it was only polite to take it.
"Well, For a little while, I have lived here, as a temporary home. I'm not realy sure where it is suitable to live, so I just situated myself where there is a superfluous amount of food, which is here. I'm much rather not stay in one place, but what if I got lost? I couldn't travel on my own, so I stayed here. Being lost with others is better. Then you have more hope o un-loosing yourself, but company never stays with me for long." She sighed. "Everyone is so busy these days."

Blushing, he shrugged casually. Really, he had only noticed it when he was turning his head before. Its bright color had just caught his eye. It wasn't any skill or sixth sense.
"I agree. I used to live with my tribe but..."
He paused. He didn't want to recite everything that had happened to him. No, it was to long. And he wasn't sure if he would be able to make it the entire way without pausing. He still had not gotten over the fact that the pikachu had tricked him into killing his own father and sister.
"I don't really have a home. You see, I left a long time ago and have been traveling ever since."
He said carefully, nodding gratefully at Essa as he gulped down another berry. My! These were delicious enough to perhaps even satisfy a snorlax's hunger!

She looked between the two, three pokemon of different persuasions yet following a similar path. Her features dipped to a calm and relaxed sense as she began to think...really, they had no one but themselves then and it seemed that perhaps they really needed more. Allowing the thinking process to finish she smiled, a mischievous grin as she settled in even more passing glances back and forth.
"Perhaps our paths are fated. How's it sound to stick together a while? I could sure use some good company, and it sounds like you both could use the same."
Essa finished with a gentle yawn, perhaps she was growing too comfortable in this place. Dipping her head slightly showed that a nap was surely due sometime soon after such good eats. Still she kept her attention of the others watching perhaps for an answer she wanted so badly.

Jaena wasn't sure if she beleived in things happening by fate; her family of Swablus always said that you shouldn't beilieve it if you can't prove it, but really, what doesn't happen for a reason? Maybe it really was fate.
"Why yes, of course. It is ever so dreadful, being alone and such. I shall finally be able to have a pleasant conversation, and be able to carry it on at some other point. Yes, I shall enjoy that." She replied, nodding to Essa.
She pulled down another berry, and munched on it, thoughtfully. Anything could happen whilst travelling, and even more so in good company. Perhaphe would find that fine partner that she had always wished for? Maybe she had always known them, but new ways could mean new realisations. She smiled as she thought this over. Yes, this was a marvellous chance.

Kayon nodded. It would be excellent to have companions again. He hadn't realized how lonely he was, maybe from all the nights he'd spent wandering endlessly. But this was an opportunity that he couldn't turn down, and he smiled.
"Great. I'm all for it. But first off, do we have a destination?"
He asked suddenly, wondering for the first time in his life if he would ever aim for somewhere and actually go for it.

Jaena put her head to the side as she thought. She didn't really want to put forward any ideas, as it was Essa's ideas, but that didn't matter, because she didn't have any ideas. "I do not know that many places in Erymire, so I am not particularly bothered about where we go. Where you want to go, I shall follow."
Then she thought again. "If we travel, we won't know exactly what every place is like, therefore we won't know where has a lack of food an whatnot. I think berries would be a very good thing to bring around with us."

Essa was a little surprised at their openness to the suggestion, listening intently to what they had to say before thinking kindly of where she had wandered throughout in Erymire. They each had individual aspects that would make them keen to trekking through certain terrain thus any would suit them except perhaps desert out groves, swamps, and mountain lands. As a quad she would be able to travel longer distances with them abroad her than to follow them, thinking kindly to this thought she knew that perhaps wandering plains and such would be their best option to start.
"I agree of the berries, I can survive on grasses and bark if need be but I would prefer the two of you equipped with something to sustain yourselves. As for the destination...someplace wide open, a plain or something. I think this would be our best option to start simply because I can carry you both and wander for long distances without getting exhausted easily. From there we can search other terrains and explore to broaden our traveler experiences."
She wondered if they would agree or put in another comment of it, she didn't mind either way, why would she?

"Hmm, well, that does sound very good. Thank you for thinking about it properly; many fail to do so with important situations. But there is no need for you to carry us, though. It would be rude to burden tyou with that. At least, for a Swablu who can fly, that would be rude. It would not be rude for Kayon to, however. His species is different from mine."
((Can't think of anything .>.<))

Blinking, he realized once again that he had taken one step ahead of himself and hadn't thought of any preparations. At the mention of riding horse-back, he felt his pride swell and he stood a little taller.
"That's very kind of you to offer Essa, and my legs may be short, but I can walk quite well on my own, thank you."
He nodded curtly. His pride wasn't the only thing getting the best of him though. He hated being in the sky. It was some sort of peculiar habit he had where if he was a mere five feet off the ground he would start spraying water all over in an attempt to land. Of course, he had only been in the air once, and that was when a charizard had mistaken him for giant blue berry with stripes.
