"We have been here for as long as we can remember..."
Alyria seems to be the perfect little utopia in a world filled with chaos and destruction. The other countries are at war, have torn themselves apart, and yet Alyria is safe and sound, all alone and secret in the middle of the ocean. The people even have abilities that most people on other continents wouldn't even dream of. One they all share is a strong connection to nature, thus allowing them to speak with all animals. Because of this ability, everyone is given an Acolyte, their animal companion. Even though they have nearly no threat of war, their guard, the Covenant, protect them, hailed and adored by the people they serve. But some think the Covenant is anything but good; and that their reasons for 'protecting' Alyria are nefarious. These people are the Rebellion, and they will do whatever it takes to bring the Covenant down, to keep Alyria and its people safe. And stuck in the middle, oblivious of this battle that is brewing, are the civilians, convinced that they are living the perfect life.
