What are the time constraints for modifying RP posts? I noticed I can't go back and edit them sometimes, and that proves to be annoying when you have no choice but to post half done work thanks to things suddenly coming up or happening (i.e. thunderstorms)..

I can tell you that it only happens on certain boards, the first and last being some two of them.

First and last boards? I wonder why it's only applicable to those then..

As Wynn says, if someone posts after you and you mod a post, it kinda screws everything up a little.

The first board is for rules and such and the last board is for occ and affiliations.
Those two boards also don't count in your post count either.

As Wynn says, if someone posts after you and you mod a post, it kinda screws everything up a little. Even so, there have been times where I made some blatant mistakes and if I was able to change them, then there wouldn't be any further confusion. It throws me off worse to have people post before me as I'm typing a reply than for someone to go modify a post after I've posted..
I've never heard of such an excuse for inability to modify posts; but there are a lot of things on these forums I don't quite agree with, so I'll just continue working aroud it.

By my recollection and experience, you have a period of time where you can edit; I think that time is about 6 hours. After that, then you're just going to have to deal with whatever is up there. Also, anyone who decides the want to (if posts could be forever modified) they can completely clear their posts, that is, if they wanted to. Deletion of the posts could leave a few gaps in the history of the group. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, you'd have to ask Wynn.

Luckily, I've never had that problem, but I shall have to look out in the future, as when I reply I normally copy the last response, or the responses that apply to what I must post, into the reply box. I usually post before deleting what I had before. Bad habit, I know.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention Aurel.
