personality: Rydii has been a timid Dolflare for his whole life, even with his curiosity. He is more cautious than most of his kind, originating from his first few months of life, and has learned to fend for himself since he mother's departure. He doesn't really "go with the flow", and is more of a loner among Dolflares. This is because he prefers not to live in pods.
history: Rydii has had a torturous 10 years, all starting at his birth. His mother gave birth to him while his father fought off Huntails that wanted him as dinner. So, they both had to swim off, leaving the father behind. He has never been seen since.
After the first two years of learning and getting stronger and more independent, his mom and him had to flee from group of Tentacruel who have taken over the Dolflare territory at the time. It was a horrible, long journey to flee, but they managed.
Then in unknown areas, only Rydii slept in the water while his mother kept an eye out for dangers. Sometimes precious scenes of Luvdisc would go by, but it was the only upside.
But, a most wonderful thing happened at the age of 4. While swimming with a group of Wailords, they met up with a strange little Pokemon named Manaphy. This Pokemon showed them the terrain and area. Then, they came upon a bubble that contained a floating city with channels of water that they could swim through and explore. It was empty, but it was glorious.
After that, the next two years were peaceful and quaint. Due to the familiarity of the surroundings now, they could travel around without a care.
But, at the age of six, Rydii was encouraged to stray further from his mother. This was a big mistake, because a group of Sharpedo came and attacked his mom. He never saw her again, and now lives in the oceans alone, for the four years. But now he has come close to the land, and will choose to change all of that.
