Five generations, countless seasons, and many moons ago, there lived four great leaders. Stripedstar the Noble, Maplestar the Cunning, Palestar the Intelligent, and Thornstar the Sly. They were the four greatest leaders ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan had ever seen, and StarClan had put their full trust in them. With the help of a group of journeying cats that had put boundaries behind to go visit a badger who could show them a new home, those four leaders led their clans bravely out of their crumbling forest home, to these great homes.
Now, any cat who had once known those remarkable leaders, even those who had been kits born in the first generation by the lake have died, but the legacies of Stripedstar, Maplestar, Palestar and Thornstar remain still. Elders and mothers take many heartbeats out of their scheduals each day to tell stories to young kits and apprentices, and with every story, those young cats develop empathy and compassion for the storyteller and for the hero or heroine of the tale. Many of the legends spoken of involve relations or friends of the leaders, and many a cat have tried to trace their lineage back to the time when the Clans still lived in the forest. That action has created strong family ties, and inner and outerClan peace. But that peace may be spoiled within the coming moons... LAKE CLANS' HERITAGE
