The horde was to get larger that day, thought the vulpix as she stopped at the edge of a large rock, looking over a clearing. then the howl erupted. It sprang like fire from her maw, her head raised, black eyes closed. She needed fresh strong members, those wanting into join the hoarde, but did not have the shadow of evil cloaking their every step. Someone who could trick the gods, with out realising it themselves. The vulpix chuckled, sittinng down to wait for an arrival. Who was this recruiter of the horde you ask? Rivers.

A pokemon heard her call, but not one that she would have been expecting. "I truly believed I smelled a stench." A shadowy cresent moon pokemon said. "And for it to be yours is quite coincidental, if I do say so, myself. I see that our great shadow lord has given you this tremendous task in all of his infinite wisdom. I hope you don't intend on failing him. That would be very. . . very bad. . . for you, and those you intend to recruit." the shadowy half moon figure said. It seemed to be just inside the shadows, but showed no intention of leaving, yet. A single blood red orb studied the Vulpix, promising death in every second to those who gazed upon it. It was the moon's eye. An eye that only knew death.

Rivers growled low. "Well rock, I must ask what infatuation you have for a vulpix such as myself that you must stalk me so far." She had twisted his words around, and she knew it. Midnight eyes stared at the red orb, warning but not threatening while her back stiffened sightly. If it was a battle this rock wanted, he could wait till more came, then she may win over trust, but for now she would wait, ignoring for now. Breaking eye contact she looked over into other shadows.

The glowing red orb swiveled to the left then to the right looking around. Nobody else was in the shadow's sight. It finnaly made it's way to the Vulpix herself. "Enough infatuation to follow you here, apparently. Besides that, I don't recommend calling me rock. It's a frivolous nickname that is as dangerous to use as is failing the Shadow Master. Call me Mooncarock. It is my name." The lunatone from before said, through the shadows to the vulpix. It floated there serenely almost like it was part of the shadows.

Rivers huffed and said "Well since you seem to be that infatuated, I guess I should return the favor and give you my calling. Rivers is my name and if you use it I'll use yours, simple as that." Her jet eyes never left the shadows across the clearing, her head turned to catch any noise. Her curved tails swayed slightly in a sort of slow beat that only she could hear.

The shadowy cresent let a malicious chuckle leave it's mouth. It's eye never left the Vulpix, staring without blinking. "Good luck on your infamous search, for youshall need it if you want to marginally escape our Shadow Lord's wrath. I came here to inform you that he brooks no failures. You better hope that I was wrong about you." The Lunatone retreated into the shadows, his eye the last part of him to dissapear. His purpose here was done.

Rivers shook her head. "well he's not one to root for the underdog is he?" She placed the thoughts from her mind and laied down to wait, from the looks of it, she would have to wait a while.

"It seems that he left. That is a releif, I thought that he would stay a bit longer." A voice said from what seemed to be from under the ground. Suddenly a figure appeared from the ground still staying in the shadows so that he was not seen. He didn't use dig to get up from the ground, or did the earth didn't break. This showed that the pokemon was a ghost type. The pokemon didn't come anycloser. The only thing that was visible was a green eye that had no pupil. The eye staired with no emotion at the vulpix. "Do not fear my fellow horde member, I wish to help you with your search for new pokemon to join our cause. My advice is to not wait for a pokemon to find you but for you to find a pokemon. Let the pokemon feel that the disires that they wish can be found when they join the horde. Pokemon will join if they get what they want." The pokemon didn't move or take his eye off the vulpix. I also wish to give you this information aswel. Stay away from Mooncarock, because he is a legend for his manipulation tricks. He can make any pokemon do his will." The pokemon started to sink down back into the earth.
