searching to survive (open)

Hitokage wondered around the forest, lost and scared. He had never been far from the protection of the colony before, and he didnt know what to do. He noticed a tree to the side of a clearing he had stumbled into, and it had a bush next to it, and on the bush, there were large, red berries. Hito rushed over to the bush, anticipating eating the lucisous red fruit. He picked one with his claws and raised it to his mouth.

((If anyone joins, do something that might make him stop or something))

A young Pidgey named Avian was carelessly gliding in the sky until he was above a lush forest. His keen eyes spotting a prime tree limb in which to land and he effortlessly dropped from the air hovering above the branch for a second before gripping his claws into it. His brown wings instantly tucked at his sides as his head jolted from left to right quickly scanning for predators, not bothering to check the foot of the tree. With a his left wing spread out, he nipped at it with his beck cleaning dirt from the underside. The soft crack of twigs snapping underfoot caused him to be alert, his eyes jolting downward for the source. It appeared to be a young Charmander, eying the berries on a bush.

"Hey! What're you doing!" Avian chirped.

[TJ]

Startled by the pidgey, charmander jumped back and looked up. It was just sitting there looking at him. He gulped and said, "just getting ready to eat, im hungry"

[Punk]

The Pidgey scanned the ground quickly before fluttering down to the ground. It took a few clumsy hops towards the Charmander for a closer look at the berry in it's claws. Just as he thought, those berries were poisonous. Eating just one would either cause severe pain or even death.

"You don't want to eat that! It's poisonous." Avian warned.

[TJ]

Cocking his head to one side, Hito said "how can you tell?" He looked at the berry, it looked just like the ones that mama charizard used to feed him

[Punk]

The Pidgey looked closer at the berry between his claws. It did indeed look like a Leppa berry but one tell tale sign was the appearance of it's leaves. Leppa berries leaves are oval shaped, while these were thorny. Avian could understand why the Charmander was confused. Mothers often tear off the leaves of a berry entirely before feeding it to their young. With an outstretched wing, he pointed at the bush that the berry came from.

"See, the leaves are spiky. That's usually a sign that they are dangerous." He chirped. "But follow me, I know where a Mago tree is." With that said his beak curved into a friendly smile as he turned around and started hopping to the left of where they were.

"Really, you can tell from the leaves, well, my mom never gave me the leaves, they made little charmanders sick she said..." Hito began randomly chattering on about his mother, and how much he missed her, and the colony.

Little did the two pokemon know that they where being watched by not just one pokemon but two. The other pokemon where an Aerodactyl named Reikon and a Spiritomb named Yuurei. Reikon staid in the air flying at amazing height and using his eyes to watch his next meal. While Reikon was watching from the sky a dark figure staid in the shadows watching the two pokemon go find food. He wanted them to become new Horde members so that he would be glorified for recruting more members. Neither pokemon knew of the other pokemon watching.

The small bird Pokemon hopped along side the Charmander, letting out small chirps as he listened to him ramble on about his colony. It sounded like a nice bunch. However, memories of the flock of Spearow Avian grew up with clouded his mind. Not that he had any objections to it, he believed he was a stronger Pidgey because of it and was eternally grateful for the tiny bird Pokemon for raising him as one of their own. This loving memory left his curved beak in a content smile.

"Your mother sounds great." Avian chirped before setting his eyes on the tree before him. They finally made it to the nearest Mago tree. He fluttered his wings in excitement before pointing one at it. "We're here!"

After a few beats of his wings he flew up to the top of the tree. The fruit that was closer to the sun would be in top condition, and he knew that the more curved the fruit was the tastier it would be. Hovering there for just a moment, he carefully grabbed one of the peach and yellow berries with one of his talons. And then used his other to grab a different one before gliding back down to his orange friend.

"Here you go! They're the best." He said happily setting one of the berries in front of the Charmander. He bent down and bit at the one still grasped between his talon, balanced on one foot. The fruit was deliciously sweet, after gulping a beak full of it down he looked back at the lizard Pokemon. "By the way, my name's Avian."

[TJ]

Eat the fruit, Hito's eyes rolled to the back of his head in pleasure. It was the best fruit that he had in his life. He looked at Avian and said "Well, my name is Hitokage, but you can call me Hito." He smiled pleasantly. The wind blew and he caught a wiff of something up wind. He looked around. To him it almost smelled like another pokemon. He decided to ignore it, it wasnt important at this time.

The Spiritomb felt the presence of a more powerful pokemon that was in the air. He looked up and saw the Aerodactyl. This pokemon looked hungery and Yuurei new better than to get in the way with a hungery Aerodactyl. The Spiritomb left the area before the pokemon attack.

Reikon looked down and saw the two pokemon happily eating the berries. The Aerodactyl chuckled at this. He know that the number one rule of survival is to always be on your guard. Reikon shot a flamethrower that started to burn away at the forest. The flames started to head for the two pokemon.

Hito saw the flames, but instead of being scared, he ran towards the flames, knowing that they wouldnt hurt him yelling "Mom, mom, is that you." He had been looking for his mother for nearly two weeks now, and to suddenly find her in the middle of a forest was very exciting to him. He ran towards the source, which he could tell was from high in the air and said to the flying pokemon, "if your shooting at him, he's my friend and you can stop, he's not going to hurt your little charmander."

Casey, a small abra that happened to be sleeping nearby, heard the communtion, woke up and saw the jet of flames comming towards the small charmander. She looked up and saw from the tree that she was sitting in a large Aerodactyl shooting the flames from his maw. Upon seeing that, she telepoted down to where the charmander was and grabbed him up, then teleported back to the tree, where she made the charamander realize that it was not a charizard that was attacking him, but something else, much more dangerous.

[D'Morri]

((hope you don't mind, just getting started))

The roar of flames was near deafening. D'Morri had been standing on one hand in a nearby tree, meditating when the fight started. Great he thought, his blood red eye wide open. He hoped down and started to move towards the commotion.

Part of the forest floor was aflame from the attack, he saw a charmander, and an abra on the ground, and an aerodactal in the sky, attacking the two young ones.

"You guys need some help here." he said opening his left eye, revealing the piercing blue, and enveloping his fists in a psychic glow.

[TJ]

From the tree, Hito looked around for the voice. all this commontion was too much for him to handle. All he wanted was his mother, but she was no where to be seen. He sat down and started crying. He had never had to experiance anything like this before, and he had never teleported, so that was a strange experiance to him. He looked up at the abra and said "Why is this happening!!!"

Casey looked down at the Charmander and scoffed. What a weak pokemon, why did she always have to run into pokemon like this, the little babies. She could have been paired up with that Aerodactyl, who was strong and probrobly smart, if only she would evolve. She looked at the Charmander and said "Shut up you baby, quit your crying and get ready to fight for your life. That Aerodactyl wants to eat us, and we cannot let it." She looked over at D'Morri and, "i guess you can help, but its us aginst him, assuming that pidgey down there isnt going to run like birds always do."

"Look who's talking. An Abra that can only use one attack. I can tell this because you body is at a weak stage, in which if you used physical attacks then your arms and legs would have a little bit more meat on them. Yet if your mind was strong enough then you could have simple moved the flames with you psych powers making the flames go in a different direction." Reikon loved to use his smarts to toy with the weaker pokemon. It made him feel like he had a since of dominance over the others that he fought. He looked down at his prey with his eyes showing no emotion. He was focusing on every little detail of the battle.

The Aerodactly landed in front of the group about twenty yards away. He turned to the new snack that came to 'HELP'. It made him snicker. He didn't say anything to him. Nothing he said would make a pokemon like this fear him. He was the type of pokemon that could keep a cool head during battle. He liked that in a pokemon. Reikon faced all the group and then used a powerful Sandstorm. Suddenly a mighty wind arose and so did sand. The winds tossed the sand in every direction at the pokemon. The Aerodactly was not effected by this because he was a rock type and his eyes had made a strong callus over them to keep the sand from bothering his vision.

[D'Morri]

The sands stirred up in mighty gales. The Aerodactly was angry, and out for blood. Too bad for him that D'Morri's blood was staying in his veins today. The storm raged on, D'Morri used a Teleport to get out of the storms way, and appearing behind the Aerodactly, already in the middle of a Double-Kick attack, aimed at the Aerodactlys back.

"So your stronger than I thought." Reikon turned his head the best he could to look at the pokemon. To think that an Abra and a Machop pokemon would be so effective in battle. To bad for him that Reikon was amazing at battle. He flapped his wings once toward the ground, making a sandstorm come from undernethe both of the pokemon. The winds where much stronger and a pokemon like D'Morri would easily be thrown backwards a good feet or two. When Reikon flapped his wings one of the double kicks hit him right on his back. Reikon made no signs of damage from the hit, but it did do some damage he was just not going to show that it hurt. This sandstorm would still have no effect on Reikon because he was a rock type.

[D'Morri]

Oh Crap! D'Morri thought to himself as the storm, came up to envelope him. Just before being blown to the ground, he felt one of his attacks connect. So, this extinct geazer isn't without flaw he thought, hiting the ground hard enough to bounce once, and flip on to his feet. he took a stance, readying for another attack, he's not either stupid, he won't fall foor the same trick twice, he thought, but maybe. A light grin spread across D'Morri's face, he leaped into the air at the Aerodactly once again, making another Double-Kick.

"You fool that attack is very inaccurete and easy to dodge." Reikon used Whirlwind to try to blow the pokemon back up into the air. Before even seeing if the attack was a success he took flight above the pokemon and then used Dragon Pulse, this shot out a purple flame toward the pokemon.

[D'Morri]

Predictable D'Morri thought. He teleported, avoiding the whirlwinds gust, as well as the dragon pulse. This time, he was under the guns, only inches away from the Aerodacty, a risky move. He brought up his right leg, finishing his previous Double-Kick.

At this same moment, a dark looking creature came from the shadows of the trees. The being was similar in shape to a charmander, only with darker skin, a more slender build, was taller, and had a dark fire ot the tip of its tail. It looked upwards at the fight, its dark eyes burning. This was Seth, D'Morri's chidhopod friend, who had followed him when he left home.

Seth couldn't stand buy and let his companion be pushed around like this. "Do I have to save your hide again D'Morri" he said, taking a deep breath.

[TJ]

Realizing that he might be of help, Hito looked over at Casey, the Abra standing next to him, and said, "If I breath fire, will you be able to catch it and throw it at the Aerodactyl?" He looked over, "If we can do that, maybe we could help the other two." He looked hopefully at the Abra.

Casey thought about his proposal. This was a sudden change in behavior for this Charmander. When she had first seen him, he was a blubbering idiot, and now he seemed ready to fight. She looked him in the eye and saw a flame that wasnt there before, she said "Its worth a try, cant let them take all of the glory."

So Hito took a deep breath, and preformed an ember attack, A small jet of flame rushed at Casey. She used her telekinesis to catch the flames between her hands, and form a ball roughly the size of her head. She then told Hito to wait where he was, and she would be right back. She teleported right above the Aerodactyl, and let the ball go. But because of the lack of fuel, the fire went right out before it even hit Reikon. Afraid that it would have alerted the giant pokemon, Casey teleported back to where Hito was and huffed. "it didnt go, it failed."

Hito racked his small brain for another anwser. There was only one, but he doubted he would survive the attempt "Teleport me up there, and i'll breath flames directly on his head, that might do something."

Casey couldnt think of anything else to do, and decided, better him than her and walked over to Hito, "okay, but, you probrobly wont survive." She teleported him right on the back of Reikon, and dissapeared. Hito mustered all of his strenght, and blasted an ember attack right at the neck of Reikon.

At this time a young Abra was drifting towards the loud noises, he knew that this was a battle going on. His arms where much more stronger than a regular Abra. He used his teleikinitic powers to float above the ground. He looked up at the sence that was taking place in the sky. The Abra could see the Aerodactly having to fight off all of those pokemon. It seemed a little unfair. The Abra was sent to this area to find new members for the Horde and that Aerodactly would be a perfect member. A good way to win someone to your side is by playing on their side. This would be a good place to start, by helping the Aerodactly.

Ryou was the name of the Abra and he was a more powerful Abra. At anytime he wanted he could evolve into a Kadabra, he was just waiting for the right moment and that moment was soon. Ryou used teleport to appear to the Aerodactly's forehead. He touched the top of the head with his finger and used teleport again to move the large pokemon out of the way of the two attacks. They both landed on the ground. "Well that seems a bit unfair if you ask me." He turned to the Aerodactly giving a small smile. "Look I wish to help you in your quest for some food. I can tell that you are having a handful with these pokemon. I would be honored to help such a powerful pokemon like you." He loved to flatter his opponents, allies, or anyone it was a good way to get them on your side quick.

Reikon looked in a daze at the Abra. He was not prepared to teleport to safty like that. He could tell that this Abra was very powerful and would make this battle a bit more easy. "Okay. I will let you join me in battle. I wish to eat these pittiful pokemon for dinner. Since we are working together we should know each others name. My name is Reikon."

"I am honored to fight alonge your side. My name is Ryou and I have a proposition for you after you fest upon these fools." The Abra replied to Reikon. He looked back up at the two pokemon in the air. Their attacks would soon collide and give each other massive damage in that close range. Ryou could also feel the presence of another Abra. He looked to the left of him to see the pokemon standing there. This would be the perfect time to attack him.

Ryou used teleport another time to appear right behind the Abra. He used a ghost type attack that was very effective against an Abra, Shadow ball would put this Abra down for a while. The black blob moved at great speed toward the other Abra. The attack was only a foot or less away from the Abra and there was little way of escape. Ryou was on the ready for the Abra to teleport away from the attack and to go assist the two pokemon in the air. Once the Shadow ball was fired he used teleport to get to the two pokemon and he charged up another shadow ball to fire at the Abra if he was to come and try to save the pokemon.

[D'Morri]

Missed, the attack just barly missed, if it hadn't been for a certan untimely intervention that Aerodactly would bee in a world of hurt. D'Morri teleported to the ground, landing a good distance from both the Aerodactly, and its new found companion. Convieniently, he landed near Seth at the same time.

"Good to see you again old friend, shal we teach these two a lesson." Said D'Morri.

"I would like a litle reenforcement, but until we do, lets show them what we can do." replied Seth.

The two came close, D'morri teleported into a tree nearby, droping off Seth, who let loose an ember atack at the new Abra. D'Morri teleported to the Abra that wasn't a threat, grabbing her, and teleporting to safty. "Are you all right?" he asked

[TJ]

Hito, who was in the air due to the fact the Reikon had dissappeared out from under him, started falling to the ground. He hit some trees, bouncing off of the branches, landing on the ground, moaning from the impact. He wasnt strong enough to battle like this. He had never been in a battle before, and yet here he was, fighting for his life aginst an Aerodactyl, with others, but still, he was too weak. He quietly slunk down, and crawled away, under some of the bushes, weeping pitifully, hoping that he would not be followed. He made it about a hundred yards away from the battle when he decided that he would run the rest of the way.

Casey looked at the Abra/Machop mix and thanked him for saving her. She said "Im fine, but where is that Charmander?" She looked around, and couldnt see him. She scrached her head, and sat down, expanding her mind to find him. Then she spotted him, running from the fight. She shook her head and didnt say anything. He wasnt ready for fights, so she just needed to leave him alone, and let him run.

"How sad is this? Your worthless attemps to defeat me." Ryou used Barrier to weaken the emeber attack and then the attack hit Ryou but showed no damage because the attack was to weak. Ryou turned around to face the new pokemon. "Now before I we start to fight I wish to ask you something that will either spare your life or die. I will spare your life if you will join the Horde and either help me in this fight or leave. I don't feel like killing you and you seem pretty tough. The Horde might be able to use you after all. Well what do you say." Ryou teleported behind the Pokemon and held up his fist. The hand started to become more cold and turning a blue colored. This Ice Puch would finish him off if he didn't join the Horde.

Reikon made a quick flap with his wings and started to hover over the ground moving at amazing speeds. He was heading to where the other pokemon where, when they teleported. He shot off a flamethrower at them which would burn them to a crisp.

[D'Morri]

D'Morri was desgusted by this Abras actions. He would dare prevent D'Morri from closing the battle, and know he wanted to strike him from behind, pure cowardice. It was time for D'Morri to make a move. He teleported, but not to another location, but into another possion, facing the Abra that was behind him. He had one hand held up, ready to intercept the fist coming his way, and his other hand moving towards his assailents neck. He opened both eyes and looked into those of his attacker and spoke. "I'm listining."

Ryou looked at D'Morri with a small smile on his face. All he needed to do was to convense this pokemon to join and this battle was as good as over. "Now that I have your attiotion, I will make you a deal. I wish for you to join the Horde and you will receive great power and knowledge. I don't know why someone wouldn't take such an offer like this, but I will allow you to release me and turn back if you don't wish to join the Horde or die. You might have not noticed this but there are three other pokemon that are watching you right now and they could very easily tear you all to peices." Ryou was not lieing about this. After he made his deal a Scizor, Spiritomb, and a Shedinja appeared around the two pokemon. All seemed very powerful and there was no way that one pokemon could defeat all three of them. Ryou used teleport to escape from D'Morri's grasp. The Yuurei, the Spiritomb, used Psychic to try to hold down D'Morri. The Shedinja started to power up a Hyper Beam that would completely destroy D'Morri. The Scizor was chargeing a Razor Wind attack that could be used if the Abra/Machop type pokemon was to use teleaport to escape. The Razor Wind would hit the pokemon the second he appeared. "So what do you say now?" Ryou said with an evil smile.

[D'Morri]

"Heh", D'Morri laughed aloud. "You all think you have me cornered, and defeated, and you may be right. Remember now, the only advantage you have right now is age. Hoever, I am wise enough to accept promises of power, as is my friend, you can come down now Seth. Just so you know, we're a packaged deal. until we become stronger tht is."

Seth leaped down from the tree, landing next to his companion "Yeah, and as the saying goes, the more the marrier. So what do ya say, we in."
