___Shinigami Do Exist!
Light has failed and is given a second chance to start off from the beginning to once again try to beat his rivals, L, and the rest of Wammy House, in the same game he lost in lue of being banished to the place described as neither heaven, nor hell... so presumably Purgatory. This second chance would reverse all of the events that had occurred in his first run to become a living god with the Death Note's powers. All who died would be returned back to life, it is like pressing the almighty reset button on the entire series. That is the end of the series, there are rumors from both medias of a continuation of the saga, but none have been started to my knowledge. That is where Humans Are Hilarious begins. Light lost all memory of his previous battle with L and the SRK and the RP starts off where Ryuk first meets up with Light after his initial use of Sidoh's Death Note for the second time. This RP is a fan based rendition of what his second quest might go down as. How we may do things differently then Light, L, and the people behind the scenes if we were ourselves locked between the crossfire of a boy could kill someone with a stroke of a pen, and another boy set out to bring the villain to justice before any other human life is lost.
A Gamble Between Shinigami For Power
An added twist to the story that is A Humans Are Hilarious Exclusive. After Ryuk and Light agree on the second trial many of the shinigami in the Shinigami realm are shaken by his complete disregard of the rules of the Death Note and begin to complain as many do in the Shinigami Realm. Instead of punishing Ryuk instead the Boss God of Death makes him set to raise up the ranks of Shinigami and put into a position of power beside him a a reward for his work in the Earth Realm with his Possessor Light Yagami. This of course leads to Rem's complaints about his Possessor's abuse of power, and Sidoh's complaints that it was his book being used the whole time and not Ryuk's. In order to prevent total chaos in the Shinigami realm the boss God of Death issues a challenge between all Shinigamis. If they could plant their Death Note to be found by a human, and their Possessors could accomplish Light's goal of becoming a Living Shinigami first. Then they would claim Ryuk's reward in his stead. The condition being that they uphold the rules of being a shinigami while doing so and their possessors do most of the acts themselves. The wager is set, the challenge is on. Which Shinigami will find the human who will put them on top?

Join Light Yagami, Ryuk, Misa Amane, and L as Light attempts a second time to rid the world of criminals in his eventual plot to become God of the New World. In this fan controlled RP take the wheel behind your favorite character of the story, or create an original character all your own as masterminds Light and L battle it out for the fate of the world. Choose sides as you hinder or help Kira in his efforts.

Character creation options allow you to be anything from an innocent bystander caught between the crossfire, to another Kira trying to upstage the first, to even a resident of Shinigami realm. Experience what it is like to be a god of death, or try to smash the Kira movement as a civil servant of the law, or an up and coming detective genious like L.
___Change the Story!
Use your character to alter Light's path to his end of the first run as inspiring God of the New World. Help him succeed, hinder him to fail, or even beat him to the punch. Anything is possible, as long as you stay alive...
