They all hate me. Rappella was sure of it as she ran, and ran, into the woods, the little tawny eevee kit too upset to be scared. She struggled over sticks and branches and vines, fighting anything in her way. Thorns and branches scratched her as she fought her way through, but she didn't care. They all hated her. Daddy had even said so, basically.

He had been searching all night. Aeroth was exhausted by the time the sun rose in the eastern sky, and he still found no trace of his sister, Rapella. He kept calling and calling until his throat was raw, and still he carried on. He crawled over roots and navigated trees until he was sure he had been going in circles, and still he carried on. Not only was his sister missing, Aeroth himself was utterly lost, not even able to find his way home. This was a bad idea, a very bad idea. His parents must be worried sick, over Flare, over Rapella, over himself...but deep down inside, he knew he wouldn't have done anything different. He would rather be here than live with the knowledge that he did nothing.

A female absol trotted the forest. Eventually, she came upon Rappella. "Oh, dear. You look lost," she said sweetly.

Rappella heard Aeroth approaching. She turned to him with tears in her eyes, and a wet face from crying for a while. "I'm not going back," she said, her guard up. she didn't know if he was here to try and bring her back...what if he wasn't alone? "Daddy's not here..right?"
ooc: Omega, i forgot to say that this is closed for just Aeroth and I for now, although if you -really- want to join you can, since I forgot to say.

"Yes," said Rappella, looking bravely up at the stranger. Really, she just hadn't learned to truly fear much of anything yet. And she was still too upset to get scared. "And I wanna be alone."

(Sorry it took so long.)
The black-tipped Eevee pup, still barely a few days old, heard a rustling in the leaves up ahead. He instinctively crouched down. The Pidgeot again? Aeroth had to find out exactly what was going on. He crept forward, parting the underbrush..."Rapella!" He rushed forward, nuzzling and licking his sister. He was tired, hungry, and very thirsty, but the site of Rapella seemed to rejuvanate him, or at least take his mind off his problems.
He heard her say she didn't want to go back, and knew it was better to leave her alone for now. It was then he saw the Absol, and from experience, he trusted no one aside from his family. "Don't like...Don't like" He repeated, first quietly so only his sister could hear, and then louder so as to defy the white creature that towered over him. His stomach growled, almost loud enough to attract attention. "Aww....but hungry" He didn't know what to do, he didn't know how to get home, he was barely able to stand on his own four feet, but...he would Follow Rapella.

Rappella went over to Aeroth and licked his cheek. She was still a young kit, and trusting. "You has food?" she asked the absol.

Aeroth pricked his ears as his sister embraced him, and he listened quietly to the conversation, a bad feeling in his gut. He rushed in front of the white-furred creature and cried loudly to attract its attention. His eyes were hard as he looked into those dark eyes with his legs spread in what he would later find out is similar to a threatening battle pose. "You no hurt sister! No hurt!" He said, his fur all fluffed out, ears and tail jutting straight back.

Rappella gasped as she watched Aeroth's defensive display. His reaction made her wonder, gave her pause. Did this stranger mean them harm? Aeroth had always been the quietest and seemingly smartest of the five kits. Rappella had always thought he was smarter than her. She looked at the absol, "are you gonna hurts us?"

The absol seemed a bit shocked at Aeroth's sudden change of heart. "Oh, no. I wouldn't dare harm you two," replied the absol, "I simply would not sleep tonight, knowing you two are alone in the forest. I had a son about your age. He disobeyed me. I scolded him, but he retaliated. He claimed that I hated him and dashed off in the night. I chased after him. I didn't find him until it was... too late." The absol began to look guilty, being reminded of her colorful past.

Aeroth let himself relax, if only a little bit. He still didn't like this Absol, but she was so nice, he found his heart melting at her tale, and yet...He wated to go home, he wanted to bring Rapella home, so they could be happy again. He was sure being with family...being with family would be better than alone, even if they bear a grudge against you and you hate them in return? But after his sister's fierce refusal to go, how could he pursuade her? How could he force her against her will?
The danger of this stranger against the hatred of his sister, which was worse? Aeroth didn't think he could live with himself if he bore hatred from someone he cared about, and that was what mattered. "We go. Follow." They would follow this stranger, and if Rapella never wanted to return home, than neither would Aeroth.

"No change!" Aeroth insisted, even though his fierce edge seemed to have vanished to be replaced with complete innocence. "No follow you, follow sister" Aeroth would wait until Rapella left before he moved a muscle.

"Let's go," said Rappella, realising he was waiting for her to make the decisions. Well she had no problem with that. She stepped right after the absol, wanting to try this. "So what kindsa food you got?" she asked the absol she had decided to place her trust in, even over that of her own parents, she realised.
