Occ// Sorry I can’t read tiny righting that easily.
The Absol twins watched the carnage from the back. It was strange that they where fighting so wildly. They wanted it to end so they just sat there and watched.

"Hey, I can still fight!" Bahamut said, still trying to stand tall and act tough. Right after saying that, though, he drooped in exhaustion. "...Or not," he continued in a depressed tone.
Bahamut lay down on the ground, eyes half open. "I'd be glad to take any of you on if you can bring me back to my full potential," the Dratini said, halfway between fervor and indifference.

Ike and Shike rushed to Bahamut and used recover on him so he would not be in so mush pain. “You can’t keep on like this you might die…….” Ike said. He and her where worried about the Pokemon.

Rai chuckled to himself at Bahamut's measly attempts to act tough until he choked on his laughter at the sad realization that it was he doing the same thing not but a few days ago with the Weavile. He bit his lip and looked deep within himself to find some inkling of sympathy. "We'll be having none of that now, my friend," he spoke in a half bark, half mewing form of voice. Rai waltzed over between the Dratini and the Rhydon -- quickly nuzzling the pokemon about with his head and paws until he had him loosely in his grasp. Rai cocked a glaring eye at the Rhydon first and then over at the Absols.
"This isn't some spectator sport! Kindly give a hand or just as well leave," he snapped, reminding them all he was still the same bitterly arrogant puffball of fur he was when he first appeared on the scene. The Absols, however, were where he let his gaze rest the longest -- if not in fascination, then just as well moderate fancy towards their presence. "What brings such a beautiful pair as you to the cries of battle," he asked aloud to them as they worked their healing magic upon the serpent; taking time to ignore Salacia, a meager Eevee like himself, along with the Munchlax, Kurai. "And what do YOU want," he growled upwards to the Rhydon.

The Rhydon looked down at the Eevee. Foolish pest The Eevee was rather arrogant, reminding him of several people he knew himself. The destructive Crash, and the kineiving Lash, and the two idiots, Bash, and Smash. All were pokemon who were arrogant in their own way. The best thing about arrogance was that it lead to certain things, fighting for instance, very well.
"I could ask the same of you, but I already have an idea of what you are searching for." he said to the little Eevee. His eyes wandered from the Eevee to the other pokemon, but eventually landed on the dratini. Arrogant fool. "I have come seeking aid from powerful fighters such as yourself. that is what I seek." the rhydon bellowed to everybody who could hear. Out of nowhere there was a pile of berries before him, mostly oran. "It is time to dine and listen, and then to fight, because only the strongest may help me, and only one so far has proven his worth." The rhydon said with ever increasing eloquence. His hands gestured to the berries in front of him, and he sat down with an audible heave of the ground. He was not light.

"I could ask the same of you, but I already have an idea of what you are searching for," Rai heard the behemoth speak with a look etched into his features that just drove the mammal mad with hatred. Though he could not properly tell what was on the Rhydon's mind, he learned from experience to expect the most common culprits of thought; so he must have been thinking about Rai's rude demeanor. Instantly, the Eevee was in no better a mood than when the conversation started, and a foul taste was stuck in the back of his throat where a low gurgling growl began. "I have come seeking aid from powerful fighters such as yourself. that is what I seek," he mentioned as a clutch of oran fruit appeared out of thin air -- the appetizing aroma driving Rai's tender stomach to near insanity.
"It is time to dine and listen, and then to fight, because only the strongest may help me, and only one so far has proven his worth," bellowed the beast; the last few words jarring Rai back to reality before his drooling attracted attention. He suddenly realized what the Rhydon wanted and why he was in the shadows form the start. It was all some pointless observation task -- with him benefiting from the group ripping each other's throats out by gaining powerful allies for whatever thrills he was enlisted for. Suddenly, Rai found that his hunger no longer existed and that his soul was turning about in his body from sickness. "To the farthest reaches of darkness with you," he spat in a reserved fashion to the dinosaur so as to have at least a bit of respect for the powerful animal.
"I've no time for this, and you haven't even a hint to an idea as to why I'm here; so keep your fruitless assumptions to yourself, Rhydon," the canid feline spoke with bouts of heavy sarcasm on the name of the pokemon he was addressing. With a final nod of respect to Bahamut and the Absols, but a scoffing noise at the Munchlax and Salacia, he rose to his tiny paws and meandered away at his own delicate pace. When he was far from earshot of any of the pokemon, he snarled to himself and snorted at a leaf cascading down in his path like an angered bull. "If I was a Jolteon, he wouldn't be so quick as to judge without proof! I could have beaten that Dratini three times over in my evolved form!
This just chalks up another fact on my list of lessons; Eevee are superior and other pokemon are brainless, slobbering, weak mongrels," he thought to himself before feeling a sigh escape his chest, "I guess.. I guess I'll just continue wandering about alone until I evolve and find a mate. If I never see another bunch of imbeciles like them, then it will be too soon! Though Rai tried to turn his attention to more important matters and build hatred or scorn for the pokemon he just encountered, he found it rather hard to do so. Eventually, he was back where he was before running off to meet Dratini -- a miniature clearing near the lake a good distance from the main party with half eaten fruit lying everywhere.
Silently, he pulled up near the rippling tides of the lake and sat down to peer out over its glassy surface -- which was on small occasions disturbed by bug and leaping fish pokemon. With eyes shut softly against the minuscule breezes, Rai began to meditate alone to himself.

The Rhydon watched the Eevee slip away. It was the delicate meandering of somewone who truly thought themselves superior to others. Arrogant, but smart. the rhydon confided to himself. Out of the same place the berries had come, three different colored stones were instantly in his hands. A blue stone, a red stone, and a yellow stone. They switched hands without his notice, red, blue, then yellow, and came back to the other hand, yellow, blue, then red. He was juggling them between the hands, but not fast enough for nobody to miss what they were. Three different elementary stones. Fire, water, thunder. "Well, there goes one. What will happen with the rest?" the rhydon asked. He still had several others willing to prove their worth, and maybe, just maybe, they would get something. The rhydon took no part of the berries.

((OOC: Sorry for the small post but this is how Kurai is exiting the thread.))
It seemed that Kurai was not part in the conversation and the other pokemon had stopped their fighting so he left. There was no noise so Kurai picked a tree that was far away from the other pokemon and started to sleep.

Having rested for a little while and eating, Bahamut was feeling much better, his pain very manageable now. He stood up tall and looked around.
Hey, where did that Eevee go? I still wanted to battle!
Bahamut looked at the giant Rhydon that was still standing by him.
"Listen, I have no desire to help you. A Dragon King is below no one and only works for himself!" Bahamut shouted at the Rhydon. "Perhaps you will be graced with my presence in the future, but for now I will take my leave."
Bahamut moved over to the lake and dove in, swimming across by the shore to where his oppenent was meditating. He emerged from the water and landed on the shore next to Rai.
"Hey, you," Bahamut said, looking at Rai. "Did you forget about our battle?"

The rhydon gave a small sigh of regret. "Perhaps you will be graced with my presence in the future, but for now I will take my leave." That was what the Dratini had said. That was unfortunate. . . for the Dratini. "Too bad. Those who are not with me fall against me." He said to himself. He yawned, looking at the dratini and eevee on another shore of the lake. At the height of that yawn, a powerful beam flew forth. It traveled across the water, faster than an arcanine could run, freezing everything it passed over Creating a bridge of ice. The beam's target was what the Rhydon was looking at, or the Dratini. It was a powerful attack known as an icebeam, and he knew it because of his perfect breeding, training, and execution years before. He watched lazily, knowing that a attack at such distance would be easily dodged.

Bahamut rolled over to avoid the overwhelming beam.
Whoa, if that hit me I could have been finished...Still, I can't be a coward now.
"I think he wants to interrupt our battle. Should we beat him first?" Bahamut asked Rai.

"Hey, you," Bahamut had spoken upon discovering where the challenger, Rai, from before was hiding out on a farther shore of the lake, "Did you forget about our battle? A smile that Rai let spread inside his mind instead of visibly on his stubby muzzle also made his heart sing with joy that at least one of the pokemon he encountered wasn't swooned by the Rhydon's approaches. Instead of offering a true reaction to the Dratini, he pretended to seem preoccupied by his meditative exercises -- practically ignoring him until he sensed a strong force heading their way that was colder than any winter, and beyond the lethality of any Seviper's venom. As Bahamut performed a rolling maneuver, the young Eevee was fortunate enough to dodge the blast by dropping down immediately to his stomach and swaying his body far to the left away from the beam.
"I think he wants to interrupt our battle. Should we beat him first," questioned the dragon as a menacing growl crept forth from the very bowels of Rai's innards. He ascertained his anger by rising fully to his foot paws with every hair on his pelt at attention in a bristling rage. The very pits of his eyes danced with a notable electric conductivity which, to the cleverly trained eye, gave heed to his impending evolutionary state -- destined to come later in life. "That pathetic craven, he he hissed in a sizzling fervor of infuriated frustration as his tail swiveled behind him with the agile nature of an able appendage, "We left him to his own devices with those other foolish animals and yet he continues to pester! To drive us back over there!"
Rai cocked an eye to Bahamut and snorted mildly more so to himself than at his appointed ally. However, the Dratini was nothing to really sneer at; it defeated the Blastoise from earlier practically on its own aside from a part distraction played by none other than the Eevee himself. Perhaps if they worked together again, as suggested on another occasion by the scaly nemesis turned associate, then they stood with better odds of coming out with a victory against the colossus. "At this rate, we'll never get our spar," Rai mumbled while looking at the grass sway near his lean legs, "but something tells me I can afford to wait as long as it takes." The later statement was spoken with an uplifting, friendly tone he never used with another pokemon since his birth many seasons ago. A sly wink was utilized as well with the Dratini conversing with him before he launched himself into a fast sprint back around the lake edge towards the Rhydon and surrounding pokemon.
Bursting through a frenzied collection of greenery, with briars and leaves stuck in his fur, Rai paused before the Rhydon a few feet away to shake off the flora. He took a moment to perform a simple check about the scenery to see what may or may not have changed -- the berries were still littered before him like humble servants, the Munchlax had vanished, the Absols were still milling about with the Eevee in unsure thought, and now there were elemental stones cradled in the Rhydon's claws. One stone in particular really caught the youngster's eyes, and it's yellow-amber hue twinkled like a jewel amongst the other two. "Ah the magnificant power of a thunder stone," he thought to himself while practically salivating over the possibilities he could experience in a heightened evolutionary state.
Suddenly, the little Eevee realized he was staring at the elemental rock too long and diverted his eyes to where Bahamut should have been making an appearance to fight alongside him. Did he know of the stones or would he be just as surprised and yearning as Rai was moments earlier? "Why did you try to kill us when we left in peace," he asked with an inquisitive edge meant to be anything but rude or abrasive. Meanwhile, his ears twitched curiously and his serpentine-like tail swished from side to side in forethought.

Bahamut once again jumped into Lake Lierra and popped back out to land beside Rai, looking up maliciously at the gargantuan Rhydon.
"Why don't you just leave us alone?" Bahamut asked. "The two of us could easily defeat you just as we did that Blastoise."
Bahamut looked at the stones Rhydon was holding.
Elemental stones...So it's more so the Eevee he's after, they would have no affect on me. Even still, he's intruding on my fighting! No one gets away with that!

The rhydon smiled at these two's ignorance. Killing them? pah. If he had wanted to kill them, they would already be dead. the rhydon thought to himself. the ground beneath him trembles just because of him turning to face their new position. The Eevee got their first, bristling with energy. The rhydon had seen enough eevees to know what they wanted to be, and this one looked like a jolteon to him. "Why should I kill a wannabe Jolteon? I wasn't even aiming for you." The rhydon yawned. A power seemed to surge through him in that yawn, rippling in the air.
A moment later the Dratini was there. "The two of us could easily defeat you just as we did that Blastoise." An arrogant assumption, but s great advantage. "I never got to congratulate you on that. Defeating a mother turtle is quite an acheivement for something so tiny. it's too bad that Beating me is not such an easy task, mostly because you two make such a great target." The Rhydon said. On the last syllable another Ice beam was already blasting from his mouth. It was aimed between the two pokemon, where one of them would most likely try to dodge it.

"Why should I kill a wannabe Jolteon," the Rhydon had rhetorically questioned with a sneer -- the remark a dry shot at Rai's desperate ambitions to evolve, "I wasn't even aiming for you." Once more, its huge jaws parted in a disapproving yawn towards the two, with a powerful aurora rising with intensity from him that made the air almost suffocating to lower level animals. Just as Bahamut made his scheduled entrance, Rai was already prickling with enraged emotions from the stab at his pride by the Rhydon, and this he made known with subtle snarling and peeling lips from his fangs. "I never got to congratulate you on that," the beast mentioned in reply to the Dratini's statements about banishing the Blastoise back to the lake due to his own powers, "Defeating a mother turtle is quite an achievement for something so tiny. It's too bad that beating me is not such an easy task; mostly because you two make such a great target."
Following his final word, an Ice Beam was emitted from his parted maw -- aimed well for between the two pokemon. Wise to the point asserted by the behemoth from earlier, Rai didn't even bother to flinch from the attack for he was attempting to drive home a point in his and the Dratini's skulls; not truly slaughter them. A large furrow was left in the tundra that twinkled and glittered with ice covering countless pieces of herbage unfortunate to be in the path of the attack. From his point of view, Rai was to the right of the assault, leaving his entire left flank heavily glassy with frost like the grass next to him. All that was required to rid himself of the troublesome burden was a brisk shake of his thick pelt; leaving the chill to cascade and melt amongst the gravel and dirt. The Eevee's nostrils wrinkled for a moment in thought as he took a step forward towards the Rhydon with his shoulders back and eyes narrowed in a stare of contempt. "I fail to understand why you want the Dratini on your side so badly. That is what this is all about isn't it?
You wouldn't continue to flaunt your destructive capabilities unless you were trying to sway him from wasting his energy and fighting you," Rai spoke with assertion and a calmed demeanor. He turned his head slightly to the side so he could focus one breathtaking eye on Bahamut's vibrant assortment of scales and muscle. Indeed, he was a force to be reckoned with under the right circumstances, and just as intellectually bright to realize the whole affair was truly focused about him. Internally did Rai burn with a passion to hiss, snarl, and attack the Rhydon for his utter rudeness towards him as a creature smaller in stature and apparently rank; but he withheld this under tight constraint just a little longer for the sake of saving face before the enemy. Both ears twitched in tune with his tail before Rai returned his attention back to the colossus of brawn. "Yet then I wonder if you're not just scared to get your claws dirty in a battle with us. Though I will die trying to defeat you, Bahamut won't; and that makes the whole purpose all the more inviting!"
Swiftly, at the conclusion of his last words, Rai propelled himself into an all out sprint at the Rhydon. He halted just barely a few inches from the titan, attempted to use Sand Attack, and catapulted into the air for a grand Tackle.

Bahamut sprang up to dodge the ice beam, but he failed in escaping the attack completely. From the neck down, Dratini was completely covered in a thick sheet of ice.
"I work for no one! I'll have you working for me!" Bahamut yelled furiously. Taking a deep breath the Dratini released a wide Dragon Rage attack, sending blue flames all around him. Whether the attack hit Rhydon or not wasn't of Bahamut's interested. The heat surrounding him was melting his frigid prison slowly, and when Bahamut ended his attack he writhed to break free from the ice.
He stood still watching Rai attack Rhydon, and waited for a chance to attack with another Dragon Rage. He was planning to wait so he didn't hurt Rai as well. He would wait until after Rhydon was defeated to fight Rai fairly.
He also wanted to rest before attacking, the powerful Ice Beam had made him full of pain again, but he tried to make it unnoticable.

the Eevee was perceptive, if too hot headed. He saw the damage his Beam had caused on the Dratini. Even after a supereffective attack, the pokemon was still fighting. The eevee was apparently unhurt. "You wouldn't continue to flaunt your destructive capabilities unless you were trying to sway him from wasting his energy and fighting you," "I work for no one! I'll have you working for me!" The dratini released the Dragon rage first, aiming without thought. The Rhydon used the precious seconds before the eevee attacked, to slide out of the way of that attack, speaking. "you are close, but not exactly right. I only wanted him to join, so I wouldn't have to kill him. A power like that is too dangerous to leave living." The Eevee moved quickly, making a cloud of dust. The rhydon eyes were blinded, but it wasn't news to him, being a creature of the lightless caves. The mere sound of Rai was enough for him. His hand moved up to block, holding a water stone, out to the eevee's attack. "I dislike battling runts, so how about we change you into a vaporeon, Kid" The Rhydon said, bellowing malicious laughter. Unless this eevee wanted to evolve early, rhydon had an effective defense.

Aw, that's just being cheap! Bahamut thought. I can't even stand looking at him now!
Bahamut launched foward and swept his tail with great force, attempting to make Rhydon drop the stones he was holding.

The sudden movement of the Rhydon's arm didn't phase the small creature, but the glistening stone of blue did send a shiver of alarm up his back. Rai's very innards even became twisted in fear and a strangled scream coursed through the male Eevee's body as lightning would dance through the rain clouds of the sky. "I dislike battling runts, so how about we change you into a Vaporeon, Kid," the beast had spoken in a closely demonic voice that was coupled with a laugh so malevolent that the very pits of Hell seemed to quake in honorable submission. Fortunately for Rai, he spotted the familiar serpentine coil of Bahamut launching forward to propel the stone from the Rhydon's grasp, but instead of relying on outside help to aid his situation, Rai swiftly altered his route best he could in mid-stride and glided past the Rhydon to behind his titanic figure.
"I didn't bargain for you to be a downright sneaky scoundrel with your tactics," growled the animal that was a seething and fuming with enough rage to cause a Charizard pure embarrassment, "If it's weaselly ploys you're game for, than the Dratini and I have a few superb stratagems for you, my friend!" A plan had formed in his cerebral cortex, but it would require full cooperation from the only soul available with enough ferocity to counter a Rhydon's potential. Swiftly, Rai broke out into a run that was a wide arc back to Bahamut that would keep him out of range for the colossus and his menagerie of elemental stones and he looked to the dragon with all the seriousness of a born warrior. This was Bahamut's opportunity to being applying an attack that would put the Rhydon in a rather precarious position that would even the playing field. As soon as he had gotten a good distance from the giant, he heaved his little legs forward in a fast romp back towards the giant; another Tackle maneuver in place.
"Still afraid to fight a runt fairly, Rhydon," questioned Rai with a sneer that was an assured jab at the animal's cryptic pride.

(It's fine. I was just worried that you forgot about this thread. I have seen that happen before. Actually, I have seen it a lot. A lot of good Rp's die that way. Don't worry about your quality, because mine sucks. Can't get out of the habit of RPing with just the bare basics.)
Despite his clouded eyes, the Rhydon slid backwards five units away from the Dratini's attack. The ground protested against his great weight, turning into green mush under his massive feet. This terrain was both a curse and a blessing to the rock pokemon. It was soft and malleable, but strange and unpredictable. Meaning to say it's wasn't the terrain he was used to. After his eyes cleaned themselves of the sand, with eye water, he kept his entire attention on the Dratini. He peered through the mask of red protecter material on his head. It was the most dangerous to him, a rock type. Where he could glance off the Eevee's normal attacks, he couldn't do the same witha dragon's attacks.
The Eevee spoke from behind him, determined against his means. "I didn't bargain for you to be a downright sneaky scoundrel with your tactics," It was a voice filled with disgust. The rhydon only smiled, still facing the Dratini. "This is life, little one. You can't win against superior forces by playing the knight." The Rhydon said smoothly. It was his intention to make them feel overconfident, or if they saw past that ruse, make them more wary of the next trick up his sleeve. "Still afraid to fight a runt fairly, Rhydon," This Eevee just didn't have any concept of life, did it. The rhydon thought to himself, straining to keep his eyes on the more dangerous Dratini. "You may be a runt, but your smart. Only an idiot takes the underdog lightly." That was true enough. He had seen a single Larvitar take out twenty Rhydons at once, several times. IF that didn't give you an appreciation for how powerful the underdog was, nothing would. The two pokemon where on opposite side of him now, which was just where he wanted them to be, where they could do the most damage. The rhydon waited for them to attack him.

Bahamut sat still watching the action. He still felt like taking a power-nap, as the ice beam did a number on him, being a dragon type. The Dratini tried his best to think up a plan that wouldn't end up with getting himself killed.
Another ice beam and I'm finished, so going in close range would be suicide. I would paralyze him with thunder wave, but it won't have any effect on him. Oh what do I do?
Rai ran back to Bahamut, stopping for a moment to give him a serious glance, then sprinted off again towards the behemoth. Bahamut wasn't sure what to do at all, so he just let his instincts take over.
I wouldn't be the dragon king if I lost to some rhydon, now would I? Bahamut thought to himself. The Rhydon was still staring intently directly at him, making him feel a little uneasy. No, I can't back down now! I'm going to give him all I have, every last bit of my effort!
The dragon wanted to live out his dream to be the strongest, the dragon king, and figured talking only made him seem less elegant and mysterious. So, he put on the most solemn face he could before building up his strength.
Bahamut unleashed the reliable power of his signature move, the Dragon Rage attack. He shot the stream of fire directly at Rhydon while propeling himself backwards, making his own attack difficult to evade while giving himself some space to avoid another terrifying ice beam.

Midway through the dashing stride of Rai's oncoming Tackle attack towards the Rhydon, he began to notice that the majority of the beast's attention was focused on Bahamut. If he was perhaps in a Jolteon evolution form, this would be a perfect opportunity to attempt some worthy attacks on his adversary since all energy was devoted towards the dragon's secret techniques. Rai wasn't a Jolteon though, and time was of the essence before his meager Eevee form tuckered out from talking and running about. "You may be a runt, but your smart. Only an idiot takes the underdog lightly," his enemy spoke with still an eye trained on the admirable Dratini. Immediately, Rai sensed his companion in the brawl collecting energy for a rather daring maneuver. Quickly, he bolted onward towards the Rhydon, hoping to out fox the attack before it struck. Despite being on a rather pathetic degree of opposition, he jumped once more at the Rhydon and swiveled his tail about in a harmless Tail Whip attack in his view -- obstructing it momentarily from seeing the approaching Dragon Rage.
Just as the little animal's pelt began to tingle from the encroaching ferocity of Bahamut's work, he dodged around the Rhydon's head and scaled down his back to escape into the woods; far to the right from plausible damage. While pausing to pant and listen for the hopeful noise of the attack connecting with the Rhydon, Rai shook his head roughly to put himself back into a mind frame about battling. Soon, his paws carried him away from the vicinity of their enemy back to the Dratini. Rai wandered as close to Bahamut so that he was within suitable speaking and hearing distance before talking in a hushed whisper. "What else do you know aside from Dragon Rage and Thunderwave," he asked urgently before arching his shoulders subtly to loosen up some muscles beginning to tense together painfully. "All I'm good for is distraction with Tail Whip, Tackle, and Sand Attack. Oh but wait, I do know a little something that can help you," he spoke with a twinkle entering his eyes at the realization of one power he hadn't utilized yet.
Swiftly, he closed his eyes for concentration while facing the Dratini and upon opening them again they glowed with an unearthly attitude. "Helping Hand," exclaimed Rai as he steadily could feel his inner aurora influencing the Dratini's so that his attack power was increased. As soon as the action was undertaken, it was quickly over and Rai could feel himself a tad more drained then usual. "I know you're tired, but hopefully this helps this whole affair end early," the small creature murmured before casting an eye towards the Rhydon to see how he handled the prior attack. Depending on the outcome, Rai figured he could do Helping Hand probably one or two more times before he wouldn't be of much other use. Pushing the concept from his brain, the Eevee began to grind his teeth in anticipation of what to do next. Further distraction however is about all he could manage without being a martyr in the conflict.

The rhydon smirked. Powerful attacks were useless if they never connected. The dratini Launched the destructive dragon rage, and The Rhydon was ready for it. Should have been ready for it, if a fluffy furball didn't block out his senses for a second. A strong tail whip, but with little effect on the Rhydon, except slowing him down. It slowed him down. The fiery stream of Blue rage hit him sqaure in the chest. Time seemed to stop, as the fire halted against the Rhydon's immense weight, but. . . The Rhydon began to inch back on the wet grass. Slowly at first, but then gaining momentum with each passing second as the Dragon rage drilled him backwards, forever backwards. Backwards towards the lake. Then, backwards into the lake, where he fell from the attack, skidding across the water, an gigantic skipping stone.
The turbulant water slowed him down, until he was just gliding backwards over the water, slowing more and more. His eyes never left the Dratini. A gleam of amusement flashed through them as the Rhydon slowed down enough to sink, and sink it did.
The rhydon plummeted into the lake as a brick would. He dissapeared in the dark watery depths, eyes following the dratini until the clear water showed him no more. Water was probably his biggest weakness, and he never even had a chance at swimming.
The waves of his passing wracked the shore, becoming less with each wave. Eventually the water would be calm again. The rhydon just a distant memory in those cold waters. Sadly, fate, lord of us all, had other plans.

After Bahamut saw the Rhydon plummet into the depths of Lake Lierra, he held his head up high in pride. "It's almost sad, really," he said smugly. "These big pokemon think they're invincible and yet they fall so eaily."
Bahamut looked to Rai in confidence. "I have plent of techniques, but why use the others when my favorite is so effective?" he asked. "Shall we find out whose strength is superior, then? I have been waiting for too long already."
The Dratini was still injured from ice beam, but he tried not to let it bother him. This was not the time to go against his sworn oath to himself, never show any weakness before a battle. He tensed up slightly in anticpation of the battle to come. Rai had the same fiery passion that Bahamut did, so he was excited and expected a worthy challenge.
Maybe he will help me evolve...then I'll really be the king of the dragons.
Bahamut thought about his future, of becoming the king he always wanted to be, a dragonite who had unfathomable power and influence over many other pokemon.

Before the Eevee's very eyes, the titan of their nightmares sank into the bottom of the lake like an unfortunate stone. Though he understood it was thanks to the Dratini that the Rhydon was readily defeated, Rai couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as well with the feat. Twitching his bushy tail behind his form in personal thought, he scarcely noticed that Bahamut was responding to his prior questions and comments. ""It's almost sad, really. These big pokemon think they're invincible and yet they fall so easily," boasted the dragon as he slithered about in prideful confidence, "I have plenty of techniques, but why use the others when my favorite is so effective?" Rai's ear tips swiveled at the undertone in the animal's words -- an evident form of arrogance that was proven to be well earned from his performances as of late.
It was then as well that Rai remembered they had a date with dueling destiny. Even with the Dratini injured still from previous attacks, he would still be too much for Rai and this he kept only to himself. If only he was a Jolteon! Oh the possibilities of carnage that could ensue! There would be so much damage released upon one another to the point of being astronomical and so enjoyable. "Shall we find out whose strength is superior, then? I have been waiting for too long already," Bahamut mentioned during which he began to coil his lengthy reptilian body against himself in anticipation. Through the gifted curse of having rather large audits seated upon his skull, Rai calculated the appropriate location of Bahamut from where he was situated. A quick glance reminded him of the terrain he was to do battle on, and a succulent breathe in slowly through his nose helped to invigorate his energy stores.
"Well," he thought to himself before digging his tiny paws into the cold, forgiving soil,"No one said this was to always be easy times for the low levelers such as myself." Swiftly, turning his head to look at the Dratini first from a cocky sideways glance, Rai broke off in a quick dash away from his advesary until he was fully a couple of yards away. Through his mind ran the only few moves he had learned, but he quickly dismissed them as they just made him feel disappointed in himself. Tactics, once more, would have to be utilized for this duel. As fast as his little legs could carry him, he began a wild sprint towards Bahamut that was so open for attack that many would consider it a gutsy, foolish move liable to end the match sooner than expected. This was exactly as Rai intended the Tackle to appear, for deep within the curvatures of his brain, he had devised a one plan to attempt on the Dratini. Whether it worked or not was up for the results to judge.

The Dratini was in a daze from his pain. His brain was almost unable to register the Eevee rapidly approaching him. Suddenly, he shook his head and tried to focus.
"You can do better than this, you're not even trying! This is disgraceful..." Bahamut said in the deepest and strongest sounding voice he could muster.
Concentrating deeply and timing it to the best of his ability, Bahamut swept with his tail to brush Rai away. Bahamut's concentration could not be maintained for much longer, though, as he was starting to feel the effects of exhaustion. He wanted nothing more than to sleep for days. Still, he was too stubborn to show the faintest sign of weakness.
I must remain vigilant...I can win this, I know I can, the dragon thought.
Bahamut summoned up a electrical charge from within, ready to disable Rai for an easy and early end to this battle.
Just come closer to me again, and you're finished...
