(ooc: I know dragonair can fly, but can Dratini?)
In the depths of Lake Lierra, Bahamut the Dratini was swimming gracefully. He moved only just above the floor of the huge lake, going as fast as he could. When he became bored of that, he swam upwards, swimming in loops and spirals. He was trying to attract attention with his extravagant motions, hoping for a battle.
On his way up to the surface, many smaller pokemon such as goldeen or remoraid darted away from his sight to avoid him.
Whatever. They're too weak to be a challenge, anyway.
Bahamut reached the top of the water, and jumped out and high into the air, staying airborne for a brief moment before diving back down.
After going down a little, Bahamut looked around for strong looking pokemon.
Eh, there isn't anyone here. I'm leaving.
The Dratini then swam up again, this time jumping higher up and out of the water onto the shore.
Bahamut sat still for a while, disappointed that he didn't find a worthy oppenent.
"Aw, how come no one wants to battle me? None of you have what it takes, huh?" Bahamut asked smugly.
Just then, a shell came flying out of the water. After it landed on the shore not too far away from Bahamut, the pokemon inside of it came out. It was a Wartortle, and it didn't look happy at all.
"Hey! You've been terrorizing my siblings, and I'm not allowing you to get away with it any longer!" the Wartortle yelled angrily.
"They had what was coming to them. I didn't force them to fight, they battled me willingly. They were all just too weak, like I'm sure you are. Do yourself a favor and back off!" Bahamut responded.
The wartortle growled. "That's it, you're gonna pay!" he said, as he charged at Bahamut with his head down low.
As the Wartortle came near, Bahamut easily evaded it.
"Heh, don't make me laugh."
The Wartortle instantly turned around and shot a jet of water at Bahamut, hitting him directly.
However, Dratini was barely affected by it. Nothing short of a genius, Bahamut knew his strengths and weaknesses well, and always had his battles planned out.
"Is that all?" Bahamut asked.
Weary of the easy battle, Bahamut sent a Thunder Wave at Wartortle, paralyzing him instantly. Unable to move or defend itself, the helpless Wartortle was as good as defeated. Bahamut moved in to finish him off. The Dratini wrapped itself around the turtle, constricting it tighter and tighter until he knew it was starting to suffocate. When he saw that Wartortle could take no more, Dratini loosened his grip, allowing Wartortle to breathe.
"Now, get lost," Bahamut told him. The Wartortle slowly got up and went back into the lake.
Bahamut decided he would go back into the depths as well. However, it wasn't long before he was ejected from the water. Bahamut was sent flying and landed on the beach with a thud.
"Ah, what the hell was that?"
There was a lot of motion in the water, and a much larger turtle popped out and landed on the beach, making the ground tremble.
The maternal Blastoise said in a deep voice. "You're the one who has been beating up my children, aren't you?"
Bahamut still wasn't scared, although he really should have been.
"So what if I am?" he asked.
The Blastoise didn't say anything in response, and just brought out it's strong water cannons from its back, sending a Hydro Pump Bahamut's way.
Bahamut, still being small, was blown away like a plastic bag in the wind by the overwhelming deluge.
Hurting from the blast, Bahamut struggled to get up.
"Fine, if that's how you want it..." he said in agony.
Darn, she's strong, I'm not sure how long I can go on...

Utterly sore and still carrying bruises from the encounter with the Weavile, Rai had thoroughly still not learned a lesson about being more benevolent and less arrogant with strangers. The pokemon had abandoned him despite his pleas for peace and retraction of foul words, and he was left to recover in the open while predators flew and slithered past him on a daily basis. It was only through the ingenuity of acting as a diseased carcass that he evaded being eaten countless times. "Just wait until I'm a Jolteon," he growled during every wave of pain he felt with his raspy breathes, "I'll show that disgusting Weavile and pathetic ghost why I am to be revered! To be admired and given ample respect during a harmless nap in the trees! Ragged vermin.. All of them! I despise them from now until the end of my seasons".
The drive to vacate the forest for recovery elsewhere from such brusque pokemon caused the hapless young Eevee to wander into the forest. Upon being greeted by the familiar splash of a goldeen leaping through water for it's pesky flying prey, Rai put in some more effort to collapse next to the lake edge for a drink. Sweet, cool water was suckled into his dry mouth and rejuvenated him significantly as he had promised himself. Luck had also grown a clutch of Leppa and Oran Berry shrubs within trotting distance, so for the next passing hours, he spent time sipping on refreshing water and nibbling gorgeously juicy berries until he felt his energy had returned and more. "Almost perfect," Rai mentioned in a whisper while looking over his disheveled appearance. A future Jolteon wouldn't dare have such horrendous cleanliness! Swiftly, he took a grand jump into the lake and washed away his pains and battle-worn appearance in the crisp goodness.
As he withdrew from the waterside environment and shook away many droplets that refracted rainbows of beauty throughout the humid air, Rai could feel the rumblings of battle near by. Curiosity was his weakness, and before he realized the danger, he had shifted through the trees to behold an unfair match between a Dratini and Blastoise. Silently, he observed with any remarks left to mingle about inside his mind with pestering choices. Should he help or watch? Experience dictated he not get involved, for it would be a travesty to dirty his paws with someone else's troubles -- not to mention get a sad defeat handed to him a second time. As the Dratini rose with not an ounce of fear in his eyes, it reminded Rai of himself against the Weavile and a conscience (though small, still had a voice) rose up from within and pushed his figure into the limelight.
"You stupid Dratini," he growled while pulling up close to his appointed ally with a proud air to how he waltzed into the fray, "You cannot win on your own! As much as it pains me to be of some use to such a weaker creature such as yourself, I feel it is my duty to say the least. To think, I have to soil my reputation in a duel with a Blastoise". Rai immediately shifted his weight forward, but strength to his back legs for any rapid evasive maneuvers he would need to perform. Though he was all talk at the current point in time, he prayed the Dratini knew some decent attacks that could compliment his own.

Ah, such a perfect day today had been! Everything was peaceful and serene, the cool, clear lake glimmering in the sunshine. For once, there would be quietness in her life, and she could finally get the sleep she so desperately needed. The eevee closed her eyes peacefully, curling herself in a ball and fell into a deep sleep...
"Ah, what the hell was that?"
Salacia shrieked in surprise and darted away from the incoming Pokemon flying toward her direction. She tiptoed toward it silently, then recognized it immediately. It was that damn Dratini who had been terrorizing Pokemon since morning. Salacia had taken to hiding herself since the Dratini came, fearing it would try to challenge her. But now it seemed like it was getting what it had coming.
Almost immediately, her attention darted from the Dratini to an arriving young Eevee. This one seemed just as arrogant, sadly. It seems as though three of the Seven Deadly Sins are here, she thought in amusement, I would be Sloth, they would be Pride, and she would be...wrath. And perhaps with a little Gluttony mixed in. Though maybe I have misjudged the Eevee.
"You stupid Dratini, you cannot win on your own! As much as it pains me to be of some use to such a weaker creature such as yourself, I feel it is my duty to say the least. To think, I have to soil my reputation in a duel with a Blastoise". she heard him say.
Nope, it appears she had judged him correctly the first time. " If I may put my input in this situation, " she spoke up for the first time, " I would think it wise to just surrender to her. I have seen this Blastoise defeat many a Pokemon who have dared lay a paw on her children. "

Fearfully, Rai had flinched at the sudden appearance of a mirror-image Eevee that was just on the side of feminine with the most beautiful eyes and admirable stance. It was more out of shock and surprise than truly a scared nature. He immediately shook away the fascination he held for her and disguised it with utter anger at her insubordination towards the situation. He stalked over to the female and tried his best to seem imposing despite the fact he was no more than probably half an inch taller than her and they were around the same starting level. Rai hunched his shoulders forward in determination and pulled his tail forward to curl over his back in a dramatic curl. "Your input is not warranted," he spoke with regaled intent as a king would to a duke or any other subordinate of barely equal standing, "so remove yourself from the fray before a harmless little tart such as you gets severely hurt. I can't concentrate on helping our water friend if you're in the background screaming for aid from stray blasts."

"Me? Weaker?" Bahamut asked the Eevee in anger. "After I finish this Blastoise, you're next!" the Dratini said, moving in to attack the Blastoise. The Dratini sent out powerful blue flames, an extremely consistent move called Dragon Rage.
The Blastoise was hit a hard blow, and was damaged heavily, but it was still a juggernaut to the basic Dratini. Without stopping, Blastoise attacked with another Hydro Pump, hitting Bahamut once more.
Bahamut could barely keep his eyes open he was in so much pain, but he was way too headstrong to give up so easily.
Maybe I can't do this by myself...
Just then Bahamut thought up a brilliant plan that just might bring the Blastoise down. "Listen," he said to the Eevee, "As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you. If you distact her I can paralyze her with a Thunder Wave."

A dark figure moved from behind the trees near the edge of the lake. It watched the battlers with deep curious eyes. A dratini fighting off a blastoise. . . impossible. Despite the creature's immense size, it moved closer, silently, unseen. It saw the Dratini think of a plan. Maybe not. . . bigger foes have been defeated by smaller than this. pathetic. The shadow dared move no closer than it was. Any closer, and it would be seen eventually.

"Me? Weaker?" the Dratini had snarled roughly at Rai before facing the challenger and racing away to battle, "After I finish this Blastoise, you're next!" After a round of attacks from each side of the scene, Rai had taken to sitting back and beginning to bathe his luxurious fur like a disgruntled cat -- in no mood to reveal his displeasure with being told not to help. As he lifted a back leg near his maw and graced the pelt with his crimson tongue, a dark presence was observed crouching midst the trees near the edge of the lake. This, however, did not pose a challenge to the Eevee and he continued to ignore the form; for whatever it may be, he would deal with it when the time arose. Suddenly, practically a battered mess of scales and pride, the Dratini was blessed with an inkling of a plan that would require Rai's assistance.
"Finally! I thought I would have to perform a funeral today," he thought quietly to himself with a cold-hearted laugh deep in the back of his throat -- resembling a malevolent purr. "Listen," the young ball of fur heard the serpent usher from afar urgently and rather painfully, "As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you. If you distract her I can paralyze her with a Thunder Wave." Rai made it visable of his pleasure with a rather wry smirk of achievement and he tossed a rude, sensual wink to the female Eevee that would make even a Seviper cringe in disgust at his attitude towards females. "Will do Dratini, and once we're through, I'd like to take you up on that offer from earlier," he declared openly before leaping atop the boughs of some trees and calling out loudly over the lake towards the Blastoise.
"Hey you poor excuse of a pokemon! You disgraceful being from the depths of pathetic aptitude! Want to pick a fight with the Dratini, then you have to try and focus long enough to attack me; if you can that is," he snapped arrogantly while parading from branch to branch like a proud mother bird boasting of her brood to the world. "You call yourself a Blastoise? More like a decorated Magikarp to me! All the looks you'd need but all the intelligence of a daily, dumb snack! You couldn't lay a claw on me even if you concentrated long enough," the Eevee continued to bray to the beast with a few laughs in between the insults. What better way to throw a big pokemon off its game then to charge its anger until it didn't bother using strategy anymore? Not to mention this did serve as a suitable distraction.

Heh. I like his style
Bahamut watched patiently until the turtle's attention was elsewhere, and charged up his attack.
The Blastoise looking grumpily up at Rai, Bahamut sent his weak jolt of electricity at him, effectively overloading it's nervous system.
The enemy shuddered from the attack, but he wasn't suffering from the full effects of it quite yet.
The mother yelled out in rage. "That's enough!" She boomed. "I'm going to flatten you!"
The Blastoise sluggishly walked up to Bahamut, trembling with anger. Within striking range of the Dratini, she raised a giant fish to bring down on her target. Bahamut knew exactly what would happen though, so he did not even flinch. He just looked up at her with a joyous expression.
Just before the mother squashed Bahamut with her immense might, she dropped to the ground twitching.
"Ha, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!" Bahamut said triumphantly.
The Blastoise, still determined to bring the dratini down, wasn't ready to give up. Bahamut didn't know about that, though.
While Bahamut was still enjoying his illusory victory, the mother struggled to stretch out her hand. Barely, she was able to grab Bahamut's tail. Summoning up strength, she slung the dragon a good distance behind her.
"Uh..." Bahamut groaned. Shaking his head to return from semi-conciousness, Bahamut yelled over to the blastoise, "This has gone on long enough, you're going back to where you came from!"
Bahamut looked over to Rai. "Are you ready to take care of her?" Bahamut asked.

occ// Can some one please give me a summery of this thread so my Eevee or Absols can join. ooc:
Well here's the bare bone basics of what's happened thus far..
There was a Dratini, named Bahamut, swimming about the lake picking fights with pokemon until a mother Blastoise arose to challenge the pest after her children were defeated wrongfully by Bahamut. My character, an Eevee named Rai, arrived to the fray in time to be of some help for Bahamut while another Eevee named Salacia entered the scene out of curiosity. In the shadows lurks an unknown pokemon that is practically undetectable, played by Sephalesh. Through the cleverly arrogant distraction skills of Rai, Bahamut managed to bring down the Blastoise with a thunder wave technique and now they're preparing to finish off the mother pokemon together.
Epi hasn't responded with Salacia's reactions to the situation thus far, and Sephalesh will probably want to post too; so I'm holding off on another post until at least one of them responds. You can easily join in and strike up a conversation with Salacia about the mysterious form lurking in the trees bordering the lake or you can have a difficult talk with Bahamut or Rai -- it's your choice. Soon as the two are done with the battle, they kind of have a mutual desire to fight one another since they're both either overly ignorant, arrogant, prideful, rude, and/or stubborn.

(Sorry about that, but I am waiting to enter until after the battle, so,)
The dark figure mused over these two's power. It could be very useful, very useful to what he needed. These two would be the first, but not the last. He still stayed far enough away from the fight to be unnoticed, at least as far as he knew. The most they would think would be another pokemon minding their own buisness.

During the fight a small pokemon was sleeping under a tree. The loud sounds from the battle awoke this pokemon and he slowly made his way to the area of the fight. The pokemon walked in the shadows to not be detacted by the other pokemon. They could have been preditors. "There is no way that they can see me here. This way I can learn of their moves and then make a counter attack plan for anything they attack me with." The small pokemon said to himself in a bush nearby. "I will defeat them with no . . ." The pokemon couldn't finsh his sentence because his tummy had made a loud growling noise. "Dangit. I guess that was perfect timing to get hungery!" The pokemon was now yelling this out from his anger. His cover was blown. Out from the bush came a black Munchlax that looked like it just woke up.

((OOC; Sorry if I'm double posting here but no one will post and it won't let me modify the post.))
Kurai turned and looked at the Blastoise with rage in his eyes. "How dare you wake me from my peaceful sleep. I'm going to kill you." With that Kurai raised two fingers and started to move them back and forth. They started to glow white and then what seemed to be a glass wall appeared infront of Kurai. "No, I wanted a lightning attack not Mirrior Coat!" Kurai quickly started to move his fingers again hoping that this time it would be an attack that would finish off the Blastoise.

(ooc: I was waiting for aurel to answer bahamut's question, but I guess i'll continue)
Great. Another weakling. Bahamut thought, looking at the Munchlax that seemed like he didn't know what he was doing.
Bahamut inhaled deeply, then exhaled, sending his Dragonbreath attack at the Blastoise.
In response, the Blastoise withdrawed back into it's shell for protection. The breath attack did very little damage due to Blastoise's hard exterior.
"Argh!" Bahamut yelled in anger. He moved in closer to Blastoise, as he had an idea...

Kurai still wiggled his fingers and this time his hand turned green and it felt like it was powered by grass powers. It was Grass Knot, which when hits a foe it does more damage on how heavy the foe is. This would be perfect to use on a Blastoise. "Hey there, you Dratini. I have a Grass Knot and you can tell me when it is best to use it." Kurai had to consentrate hard to keep the Grass Knot from lossing power.

(sorry it's bahamut's demeanor, not mine ) "I don't need help from a weakling!" Bahamut said, still charging at the Blastoise. When he came close to it, he swung his tail hard, Slamming the shell in an attempt to launch it back into the lake. However, the Blastoise, being as heavy as it is, only moved a few feet. "YEEOWW! &$#@!" Dratini cursed, his tail in throbbing pain.

"Well I can't beleive you would treat me like that, all that I was doing was tring to help you out. What a second. Maybe you where the one who started the noise that awoke me! Alright then, you listen to me Dratini, I going to defeat you!" Kurai was boiling with rage for no real reason. He lost focus in the grass knot and let it drift away. He then wiggled his fingers again to make a new attack. He still hid behind the mirror coat for protection. The attack was, just his luck, an ice punch. He started heading toward the Dratini. The mirror coat was still close enough that he could duck at it to hide. "Now take this!" He throw his fist toward the Dratini.

Kurai heard the two new pokemon that arrived and an idea popped into his head. "Hey you two, this Dratini was picking a fight with this Blastoise and has been disturbing the pokemon that live here. I need some help to defeat him." Kurai was just going to use them to help him and even when the two came Kurai didn't stop to attack the Dratini, and he was almost about to hit him.

"You are all a cluster of fools," growled the Eevee from his position high above in the trees where he observed the scene progressing pitifully below. What began with just two pokemon fending off a highly peeved mother figure, now evolved into a huge gathering of curious, disturbed, and meandering beasts looking to get into some sort of trouble. Though he did not mean to disregard the Dratini, Bahamut's, question; Rai was thankful he did since a few other animals of the forest were willing to eradicate the giant, shelled foe in his favor. Once he noticed, however, a pathetic Munchlax of a darkly ebony color turning its attention towards his appointed foe from earlier, Rai could not help but leap down in the stead of the Dratini.
"Now just a goldeen flippin' minute," he snarled like a wild creature bent upon the rage of an angered Garados. The ice punch collided with his small figure, but only pushed him back slightly in the dirt -- four long trails left behind a good two feet from his dragging paws. The Eevee shook off the ice from his coat and ground his teeth in purely noticeable agitation. "If you want to fight the Dratini, get in line! I laid claim to a good spar long before you and your stomach showed up! Step aside before I have to waste my energy on such a meager lump of flesh like you, Munchlax," snapped he with ears pulled forward and nostrils flaring dangerously. Rai's fur was standing nearly one inch higher than usual, and he let his tail sway like a sidewinder -- a clever attack called Tail Whip. A swift look around revealed he was in the right terrain for a swift sand attack if required, and he had shoulders hunched and prepared for a tackle.

"Look I don't care if you want to fight him or not, but he awoke me from a peaceful sleep and he will pay!" Kurai turned to the Eevee. "And if that means that I have to defeat you then so be it!" Kurai mouth started to make a small dark ball that soon became very large. Kurai shot the ball at amazing speed toward the Eevee. The Shadow Ball would probably do some damage but not a ton.

The figure in the trees watched the scene quickly turn to chaos. Chaos was not neccasarily a bad thing, but it always destroyed unity, and that was what he was looking for right now, unity. Unity to help him in his quest. He waited behind his trees, not moving, just past the qaurriling pokemon's vision. A munchlax, that did not seem very rational, and a pair of Absol had joined. This thing would quickly spiral out of control, and he would have o step in, instantly becoming the enemy. But not yet. Not yet.

Instantaneously, Rai swiped his paws into a wide arc that scattered paws full of sand across the Muchlax's face -- Sand Attack! He was not, however, wise enough to dodge the attack and took the Shadow Ball fully against his exposed flank; tossing him backwards further, but without falling over. Rai's eyes narrowed into slits as he let his head turn slowly, and rather creepily towards the small pokemon as if possessed by a demon force. "Ouch," he murmured through teeth tightly bound together from the radiating pain that was coursing through his body. He could literally feel his special defenses having been lowered, but he was no longer at the will of reason as his pent up rage began to build into an uncontrollable torrent.
As he righted his form towards the Munchlax, a soft purr crawling from his throat evolved into a horrendous laugh. The closer he pulled up towards the Munchlax, the more the chuckling became eerie to hear. "I cannot believe how much that measly attack hurt," he voiced when he was merely two feet from the little creature, "but it's alright, because I wasn't on my guard that time. Let's try this dance again!" Immediately, he ran towards the Munchlax with all the ferocity and power he had in store for such an attack -- Tackle. A loud mixture of a growl and snarl left his maw as he drew closer and closer his destined foe.

"Your going to have to do better than that!" The Munchlax yelled. Then he cruled himself into a small ball that was protected by his fat. This would raise his defense to such a weak attack. The tackle hit directly but did little damage. Kurai, still in the ball, rolled a few feet then unrolled himself so that he could now go on the offensive. Kurai stood up and then started to move his fingers. The white light appeared again and then Kurai did nothing. It looked like he was concentrating really hard on something. His defences where down and there was nothing it seemed that he could do.

(ooc: Any of you familiar with type effectiveness? Ghost attacks (shadow ball) have no affect on normal types (eevee))
Bahamut saw what Kurai was doing, but left it to Rai, figuring he was strong enough to handle him. Instead, Bahamut focused on Blastoise mother, still unswayed.
I've had enough of this! I'm so PO'ed right now! Bahamut thought, his rage building from the situation.
Right next to the Blastoise, Bahamut released all of his frustration into a Dragon Rage attack, the blue flames consuming the Blastoise. It's shell was not enough protection from the strong dragon attack, so blastoise was knocked back into the lake.
"Yes! I'm the dragon KING!!" Bahamut said to no one in particular.

A powerful voice called out from the brush far from the Dratini. "Indeed, you are the Dragon King."A Tall Rhydon moved from the shadows and in to the open. He wore a red stone mask that covered the fight half of his face.
"A king, the likes of which I seldom see, anymore." The rhydon continued, as it crossed the distant in a blink of the eye. He did not run, he was just there, then here. "Few can defeat an angry blastoise mother, like you did." He said, eyes intent on the Dratini. The dratini looked beaten, but The rhydon knew his eyes couldn't be deceived. He had seen the Blastoise go down.

ooc: Nobody was ignoring you, Destiny -- I acknowledged your fighting Absols and everyone else did in subtle ways. Right now, it seems everyone is wrapped up in their own little problems, so feel free to either be an observer or interact best you can.

Rai was rather sore at the prospects of his fight with the Munchlax. Though the Shadow Ball did no real damage and the current attack he attempted seemed a failure, he was in no better shape with only a Tackle or Sand Attack at his discretion. "This is pointless," he declared while standing back up to his full height from a position of battle readiness. He turned around with his back facing Kurai and kicked some dirt at his foe in a rather snobbish manner. "I quit. You're boring," he mumbled just as a Rhydon approached them all from the darkness of the trees -- revealing the force he sensed earlier to be much bigger and more dangerous than some silly creature with a touch of shyness.
The Blastoise was defeated and Bahamut, the Dratini, badly in need of some care. There were other pokemon mingling about with one another, with a pair of Absols being the biggest surprise to Rai aside from another Eevee and Munchlax. He reminded himself personally to see about probably sentencing a challenge to them in the near future -- for a spar with animals as grand as them would be worth a loss at least. Swiftly, Rai bounded over to the Dratini and sniffed the aurora being emitted by his battered, bruised form. "Well well well, should I take this as a sign we shall not be grappling with one another tonight," he questioned with a sneer to disguise the fact he kind of did care about the pokemon's well being.
"Perhaps we should look into asking your disappearing Rhydon friend if he knows of some healing properties in the surrounding forest we can utilize," Rai mentioned as he twitched a duo of cute ears a few times in pondering thought.
