Many years ago, the seven colors and mixed colors had not even existed yet. The entire world was a shade of monochromed gray, and each and every one of the animals on planet Aerolyth were of the purest snow white, even the plants. Wolves of pigmentless pelts could be seen running about the fields and forests, mountains and valleys, simply looking as if they were a blob of writhing, wiggling white upon the gray, practically unnoticable. Each creature lived harmoniously with each other; the birds, rodents, wolves, horses, foxes, insects... Aerolyth was a planet much like any other, with animals and plants and suchlike. However, it bore something different than others.
A goddess of the planet Aerolyth, by the name of Bellarai, took the form of a wolf with intricately patterned markings. Splashes of red and orange, speckled yellow and green, streaks of blue and indigo, and dashes of colors inbetween streaked across her crystal white body in a marvelous parade. She was the only being in the entire history of Aerolyth that bore any other color but white. It was said that a part of her was intertwined into the souls of each of the wolves that were born, and that every time a mortal wolf died, her soul partially renewed. Bellarai was good-hearted and of a good mentality, and it was told from legend that the very first wolves were taught the ways of life and how Bellarai told them they should live their lives; fullfilling and with no regrets. She told them that they should treat people with respect and stand by them when they do right, and part when they do wrong. She told the wolves to forgive but never forget, and to make wise decisions in their life. It seemed as though this would all be quite hard to follow; it all seemed to perfect, the wolves thought to themselves. But Bellarai told them, "If you keep your faith that good will triumph over evil, your lives will be full of joy and peace, without war or destruction. I will be there to guide you."
The first wolves were somewhat skeptical, but soon enough they realized that after many years of having that conversation with the goddess, there had been no downfall of Aerolyth at all, not even in the smallest way. And then, just when things seemed to be going well, a single pup was born; the first pup from the first wolves of Aerolyth. A new generation. As this pup grew, the wolves grew stressed, but tried to keep their chins up and troubles to the wind. This pup, named Bergice, was very pessimstic, and always was about violence and death and blood. This troubled the other wolves, but the pessimism eventually grew on them. They began to take on negative attitudes, and doubting themselves as well as other things in nature. Each day was harder and harder to get through, and the urge to just to nothing or to kill was getting greater and greater. To punish them for their actions, Bellarai added humans to Aerolyth. They built their towns and houses, and killed off many wolves and some creatures to extinction. The packs that had formed were now very divided and protective over their land, and would attack any who dared to venture near their borders. And then, they all rallied together... they could take no more of these humans' nonsense. They even had colors! their hair was golden and red and brown and black, and their skin tones were many different colors. Their eyes were even a marvel to look at; beautiful green, blue, brown... The wolves couldn't stand it anymore. Their forests had been destroyed, the rivers drained, and their families killed. It was time for war.
It was one of the bloodiest battles that Aerolyth had seen; and the only one it had ever seen, in truth. All humans were tracked down and killed, and any traitors to the packs were slaughtered and tortured. Bellarai was furious. She appeared in the midst of the fighting, as if by magic, her colors stained with blood. "You foul beasts; look what you have done! You have disturbed the peace by allowing your minds to become swamped with evil." She spat. "I threw humans in as your punishment, and now look! You've let anger overcome you, and it's all because of him!" She scoffed, the mob parting to reveal a single wolf: Bergice. He was older now at four years of age. Bellarai growled and slashed at his face, and out of thin air a black snake coiled around his neck and head. He yelped frantically, clawing and scratching at the reptile, until Bellarai had gotten enough for his punishment. "A simple snake is not all I will punish you with; I will punish your entire race for what you have done." At that, Bergice's pelt turned the deepest black. His eyes were entirely black, his claws black, his teeth and tongue black, and even his very organs that were black pumped black blood. She then screamed over the mumbling, "For such a deed done, your world will no longer be full of peace and harmony. I will not be here to guide you and help you with your lives until you can prove to me that you deserve it." With that, her colors faded from her body, turning her a nearly translucent shade of crystalline; it was almost as if her body was composed of only water. "Black is the color of evil now. Each and every one of you will now bear a color that will cause you to be different. You will know in your mind that one color is better than the rest. You will feud and fight over the title, until only one race of color remains." The former colors of Bellarai's body sat in a puddle beneath her, and as she looked down at them, they streaked across the mountains, the valleys, the fields, and the forests, painting the leaves green and the soil a rich sable. the bodies of water were now aquamarine. The seasons changed, now, bringing the harshenss of winter, the mildness of autumn and the pleasantness of spring and the scorching hotness of summer. The colors at last reached the wolves.
As the last word spilled from her lips and her body disintegrated into the core of planet Aerolyth, the wolves' bodies were each given a painted color; a rainbow of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and wolves of multiple colors all stood there in awe, staring at each other. They all of a sudden had an instinct to split into packs: The Radiant, good-hearted and trusting in Bellarai, and the Onyx, shadowy and doubtful of Bellarai's teachings. and all of a sudden had a fierce longing to claim their territory, and kill any who dared tresspass. The only one left was Bergice; he remained standing in the middle of the land, with no one to care for him; not even his parents. No one could forgive him for what he had done... but, maybe they had to. Maybe to really gain back their goddess' trust and to live in true harmony once more, they had to be...[url=http://xxxcolorblindxxx.proboards80.com/index.cgi?COLORBLIND.
