Finding New Forest Territory (Open)

[Steven]

Darkfang grunted, he knew accepting happiness and other feelings which he once thought were weak would have to take some getting use to. "Yup." he said in a low voice, he let out a small grin and sat down on the ground. He turned to Silver "Silver we're going to have to get to my living situation after I help out the lady here." he told the Buizel.

Ashe smiled kindly at Drakfang and licked him in the shoulder once more. "Thank you, so much for helping me. Believe me, if you ever need anything after this, you just have to ask." The Shinx said as she got back up. "Well, I'm ready to go whenever you are. Of course, if you want to look at habitats first we could always do that."

[Steven]

Darkfang let out a sigh of relif after reciving another lick from the Shinx. He looked down at her and started to speak "I will get to that as soon as I can, as of right now I don't see a place fitting place for me." Darkfang told her. Darkfang turned to Silver and nodded his head to him "Thanks for everything." he told the Buizel "I feel different now, like all of the stress of my life has been wiped clean every since I met you and Ashe." after thanking the Buizel he turned back to Ashe "I am ready to go." he told her.

Silver shook his head. "I'm not leaving you guys yet...I need some adventure..plus you may run into a fire type stronger than you!" He smirked superiorly. "Also,you still need to get used to having us around.."

"Alright!! Sounds great to me! The more the merrier as they say!" Ashe said cherrfully. "Plus, the more Pokemon around, the more you will get use to accpeting kindness and all that good stuff." She chuckled and skipped on ahead of the Houndour and Buizel. "Now, if you two are ready, lets get going!!"

[Steven]

Darkfang grunted. "Okay." he said. Darkfang put his nose up into the air for the scent of Persian. "The first place to get a good start is...we got to find the scent of Persian in the air." he walked around in circles following the various scents trying to locate a heavy Persian scent. "Hey, how good is your nose." he asked Silver, he probably wasn't going to be able to sniff out the Persian Pride so quickly unless he had some help. With all of the scents revolving around the Rainforest it would be hard to catch the one you were trying to find.

Silver chuckled."How else did I find you....." He began to sniff the air and seperate the scents. "I smell a Meowth about 30 meters to the west,20 to the north.." He walked towards the scent then stopped. "C'mon!"

[Steven]

Darkfang blinked. He grumbled "Alright you got th Meowth scent, now lets try to find a lot of them. We need the scent of Persian as well." Darkfang started to sniff the air some more as well. It wasn't too hard to seperate the scents "I smell....Rattata!" yelled Darkfang "Rattata!" he yowled. He ran into the bushes and jumped onto the little purple rodent and clamped it in the neck, he gobbled the Pokemon down. Afterwords he licked his paws and walked back to them "Yeah..." he said "Sorry, Rattata's are one of my favorite Pokemon to prey on...I have been looking to eat one for quite a long time now." Darkfang gulped and put his snout in the air, continuing to sniff "Hey I got a whiff of: Ponyta, Meowth, Persian, and maybe...Raticate!" he yelped. He tried to resist going for another hunt he had to remember he wasn't going to keep helping himself anymore, now he was going to help Ashe find her family.

Ashe smiled and chuckled at Darkfang's taste for rat Pokemon and licked the Houndour on the shoulder again.

"How about this: After you help me find my pride or near the end of the day, we go hunting for some Rattas and Raticate together. My thanks to you." Ashe said, then turned serious as she looked to the north west. "Are you sure you smelt some Mewoths and Persians there? If so then lets get going."

[Steven]

Darkfang struggled to let out a small grin he really enjoyed the licks, and he loved to eat Rattata and Raticates so the Pokemon got back to work. He check the air again near the northwest area, instantly the matters got serious "I am going to check the scents that we've smelled out earlier so we can check how old this scent is, there is really no telling how long ago that the pride could have been here." Darkfang said.

"Very well, do what you must. I understand that sometimes it isn't the easiest thing to track some one." Ashe and chuckled slightly. "Not that I really know the extent of it. My nose might as well be a rock compared to your's."

[Steven]

Darkfang blinked "Hum..." he said. He looked at the Buizel "I need some help, it is kind of complicated trying to figure out how long ago that these scents have been here." Darkfang said "Probably because there is so many." the odd furred Houndour started to walk in the northwestern direction "Or, we can follow the scents to a point where we cannot continue, and unfourtenely if we do not see the pride that will be all our noses can offer."

"That's fine with me. It's already more then what I had hoped for." Ashe said cheerfully and started to walk in the northwest direction. "But come on, we'll never know if their there or not unless unless we actually get going." She laughed and began to run in the direction Sliver had mentioned.

[Steven]

Darkfang snorted "Alright lets get going then!" he yelled. He moved behind the Shinx, he turned his head to Silver "Are you coming we're still helping Ashe out?" Darkfang kept his nose in the air trying to identify the age of the scents once more. "Hopefully the longer we travel the easier it will be to determine the age of the scents." Darkfang hoped that there would be a Persian/Meowth Pride at the end of all this, it would acutally make him feel good to have helped somebody once in his life and to have caused physical or emotional harm to them.

(Chimchar what are you going to do with Silver...since he is two places at once.)

Silver was running next to him,then realized he forgot something.
"I told my brother I'd be back early!"
He ran into a river,waved goodbye and jumped downstream towards him and his brothers cave.
(Exits to Erymire River.)

[Steven]

Darkfang blinked watching as Silver ran. His eyes widened "A brother?" he gasped "I thought he was alone..." Normally Darkfang would be extremely angry but the new Darkfang just inhaled and exhaled. "It isn't that much big of a deal...Everybody has to have somebody in this world." The Houndour chuckled and turned his attention back to Ashe. "Well I guess now that Silver is gone, that leaves just you and me." he told her giving the Shinx a small grin.

"Yep! I guess it does doesn't it." Ashe said cheerfully and started to walk in the direction Sliver had sniffed out her pride in before. "And you're right, everying does have to have someone. Other wise they end up like what you were like not ten minutes ago!" She laughed and playfully nudged him before running ahead of the Houndour. "Come on! Let's get going! You won't get any Rattas just standing around!"

[Steven]

Darkfang's eyes widened "Oh yeah!" he yelled cheerfully going after her. He smiled, he hadn't felt this good in years. The Houndour felt that good things were coming to him now that he had changed his ways and realized that how he was acting was his weakness. But there was one thing he couldn't wait for, Rattata and Raticate meat. The meat on those Pokemon tasted so good, his mouth had started to rapidly drool. He moved quickly trying his best to catch up with the Shinx.

Ashe looked over to see Darkfang running up to her. She laughed at the Dark Pokemon and started to in crease her pace. She then turned around and stuck her tongue at Darkfang.
"Na, na! You can't catch me no matter how fast you run!!" The Shinx taunted as she ran in and out of the trees.

[Steven]

Darkfang blinked "I betcha I can!" he yowled. He chased after Ashe and increased his speed. He sighed as he ran, it was nice to feel free, feeling free was something he never exprienced in awhile as well. Since he was all bent of pushing others away and focusing on hating the world he never thought about freedom and enjoyment as well. There was a whole bunch of things he felt he could knew now that he was less stiff. Bursting threw the trees fast he flew threw the air howling from enjoyment.

Ashe heard Drakfang's howl and she started to laugh like there was no tomorrow. She tried to give a roar to go along with but it only came out as a quiet mew. She blushed at her failed attempt but continued to run with the Houndour.
It went on like this until the Shinx suddenly stopped herself short. Ashe around the area and sniffed the air vigorously. She turned around and around until she finally found what she had smelt before and a low cry came to her throat. On a leaf not too far form her, was the unmistakable scarlet red of blood. And around it, the scent of Mewoths and Persians.

[Steven]

Darkfang ran up to Ashe. When she tried t roar, and let out a mew instead he let out a small giggle as well. Then he stopped to see her sniff the air vigorusly "Whats wrong?" he grummbled curiously. He started to sniff the air too, the Meowth and Persian scent had now gotten quite strong. Darkfang ran ove to see that Ashe found something. "What is going on?" he asked, his eyes widened when he saw the blood. "This blood has the scent of Meowth and Persian on it." he gasped "Do you think-" he paused glancing at Ashe.

Ashe didn't answer the Houndour and quickly began to run in the direction she had smelt the scent go. She didn't even want to say her thoughts out loud for fear that would make it affirmative. As if she said it then there would be no hope of the alternative.

But as the Shinx continued to run along the scent's path the sight of blood became more often. Before she knew it, Ashe broke through a clearing and stopped dead in her tracks. In front of her, laid out through out the green floor, where the bloodied bodies of both Mewoths and Persians. Ashe limbs seemed to be frozen. No matter how much she told them to move, to run from the place, they won't listen to her. Even though she wasn't aware of it, tears where running down her face.

[Steven]

Darkfang watched as Ashe ran. Butterflies flew around in his stomach telling him that something was wrong. He wondered if he should follow her, or if he shouldn't. He sniffed the air. The scent of Persian and Meowth blood still lay. He started to pick up chase on Ashe. *~I hope what I think is happening...isn't.~* he thought as he caught up with Ashe. Rubbing his green belly on the forest floor, he silently slipped into the clearing. Darkfang's eyes widened in shock. *~No, I hate it when my worries come true...I hope that Ashe can cope.~* Darkfang thought, he wondered if Ashe would be able to handle the situation. He frowned, feeling sorry for her. The Houndour had helped her try to find the prid and now this. He slipped out of the clearing figuring she may want to be alone.

Ashe continued to stare at her now dead pride but she noticed Darkfang leaving the clearing. She quickly turned around and jumped on the Houndour. She dug her claws onto his fur as more tears started to come down her eyes.

"Please! Don't leave me!! I don't want to be alone, not again!!" The Shinx mewed as she buried her fack into Darkfang's back.

[Steven]

Darkfang stopped in his tracks and looked at the Shinx. He felt her pain, losing her whole family. He embraced the pain from her claws digging into his back and he turned to her. "Alright...I won't leave you." he said lowly "I will stay and help you through this a long as you need it." he told her. He glanced back at her trying to smile, but started to cry due to the sadness of the moment "Because...that is what friends are for aren't they?" he struggled to say. Never had Darkfang offered to help anyone this much in his life.

Ashe looked up at Darkfang as he said about friends being there for each other and gave a tiny smile at him. She let retracked her claws and got off of the Houndour's back. She walked around him and nudged him gentily on under the chin.

"Yes, that is what friends are for. You learn quickly. Not many get that this quickly." Ashe said and began to lick Darkfang's shoulder. "Thank you, so much."

[Steven]

Darkfang smiled and licked her on her head. "I am here for you Ashe, remember that." he said in a low tone to her. He sighed heavily, today had been very eventful. First Darkfang had went from rude to cool and calm, made two new friends, and found out that Ashe's pride had been killed. Of course there was another thing on his mind, who or what was responible for the slaughter of the pride? That was on Darkfang's mind at the moment, but he figured that he wouldn't bring it up to Ashe at this time. Afterall she was still dealing with the death of her family.

A Silver Floatzel appeared in front of Ashe and Darkfang. "Hey,guys,miss me?" It was clearly Silver the former Buizel. "It's me Silver....oh and can I crash with you guys...my brother wants to split up for a while." Silver smelt the blood. "Ashe,I'm sorry....."

"Thanks a lot, Darkfang. You have no idea how much I need someone to lean on right at this moment." Ashe said, nudging the Houndour's nck before turning to Sliver. "Don't you worry about it too much. It was my pride, no your's, who's is dead. I'm sure I can deal with them..." Some tears came to her eyes and tried her best to blink back. "But at least I have you guys, right?"
