Deep in the cavities of the western mountains, in a particularly deep tunnel, the one farthest from the surface and farthest from the sun... the ground rattled. A wandering Onix had lost his way in the strange labyrinth and darkness. He was not used to these parts, and was utterly lost. He'd been slithering around the tunnels for hours now, helplessly searching for a way up. His rocky skin crushed under him, especially at one specific point. Concerned, the Onix paused to move backwards. He quickly found that the rock beneath hi-
"AAIIIAERGHAUGH!"
The Onix winced at the sound and in a split second the earth ate him whole - took the poor soul into its belly. A few minutes later, with dust settling, the ground stirred. A beady, bloody eye surfaced, tasted its first air of the overworld - and hated it. Akeer hissed. She creened her long neck into the tunnel, eyes perfectly adapted to the darkness, and grinned. This was going to be a very, very good day.
The massive Aerodactyl creaked as she puller herself into the upper world, as if her rocky skin was not meant to move and broke against itself. But she continued, using her wings as arms to grab at the tunnel and wrench herself out. When she successfully pulled herself out of the now huge hole in the ground that lead to the Underworld, she sniffed the air. A hint of... it wasn't fungus... it was... something... and it intrigued her. Akeer wanted to see what it was.

ooc: Akeer can be a little larger than average for her kind, but not unusually huge. Aerodactyls live about 100 years in this RPG so she won't age much. ^_^

ooc: Oui......umm how bout an aero buddy for her? I'm running out of npc ideas..did you have any ideas what you wanted to do with her? anyways, ill start an npc aero for her...maybe a boyfriend ;P And I will have to poke Steve...he is a big aerodactile fan.
ic: The air of the overworld was calm. The sky was pitch black with small light dots. The stars. The moon was a massive full one, shining strongly with its reflected light from the great sun. Swooping through the crisp air, an aerodactile played. He was young, only about 11 years old. His wrinkley skin was black. Beautiful, wonderful black. His belly was a clean, unreal white. So pure, for his evil. Black. And white. Pure. His wrinkled skin was free of cuts and scrapes. It was clear he took good care of himself. As he swooped through the darkness for fun, his strong ears noticed something.
He heard a squeal and a creak and sounds of the like. Curious, he swooped down towards the hole that Akeer had created leading to the underworld. Now what could that be. He was still about 200 feet up and now swooped down closer to the form. Another aerodactile!
"Aroooiiiiiiii!" he screeched, working to get her attention as he swooped in closer to the strangly colored female.

(Yes, Steve Noted me about making an Aero character. I was going to make a western evil as opposed to the eastern Horde)
This new world was dry and cold, utterly alien to Akeer. Her rock-hard skin contracted for warmth. The caverns of the underworld were moist and warm against the heart of the world, and this chilling exterior proved to be nothing but a nuisance. Then she heard the call of another - who in their right mind would be up here? She arched her neck upwards to see the crisp white belly of another aerodactyl, and grinned. Someone had survived in this toxic weather - thus she could, too! She roared out in response, a simple hello.
But her wings, in years of misuse, were not yet adequate for flying. She vaguely remembered her first few months in the overworld, and of flying, but since then she'd used her arms for pulling herself forward rather than flight. She she sat on the cool ground, waiting for the other to land.

Sukun landed next to Akeer. His black skin glimmered majestically in the moonlight. Two small silver fangs poked out from his closed mouth. His own blood red eyes were raised with interest. He'd never seen an aerodactile come out of the ground. He'd never been to this underworld; only heard strories of it. He was now alone. He'd left his parents a year ago to make his own life.
"How'd you come from the ground?" His voice was scratchy, he hadn't talked to anyone in the last few months. Pretty deserted out here. He cleared his throat. "S--sorry. I haven't been talking recently."

Akeer smirked. "Not a problem. As for the ground... it closed in on me long ago," she nodded her head, her white skin taking the moonlight like a glow-in-the-dark sticker, green undertone and all. She used her arms as front legs, a habit she had been forced to adapt to in the craggy caves, and her spaded tail barbs had grown into long sickles. "What is your name, who has survived the overworld? And what has become of this layer?"

"I'm Sukun. What do you mean 'whas has become of this layer'?" Sukun asked. "I've always lived here...well not here persay but I've never been underground." He wondered how she had come up from the ground.

"Hello Sukun. I'm Akeer, and I haven't been up here in a long while," said Akeer. "Essentially... is the Horde still a power in the east?" she growled at the sound of their name, they only caused her family trouble and starvation, hence their moving to the far west.

"The Horde? Huh yeah I think so," said Sukun. "My family never paid much attention to that lot...a bunch of assholes. Where have you been if you haven't been up here for a while?" The young aerodactile was confused with her constant mentioning of 'up here' and 'layer' and the such. There was only one layer of this one world, or so he thought.

"Aghck, army of weaklings..." she muttered, then addressed Sukun's question. "Have you ever heard of the Underworld? Long ago, it didn't exist, until an earthquake buried a series of caverns farther under the surface and closed them off from the surface. I've had to live there for years in the darkness, and just recently some stupid Onix broke open a hole in the western caverns. And here I am," she tilted her head.

"Nope I've never heard of it," said Sukun. "So you've been there a while...that must have been weird." It sounded weird. He couldn't quite grasp it, either.

"It was the strangest thing," Akeer gurgled. "I couldn't see anything at first. We lived off Relicanth and Kabuto, not very tasty at all, very crunchy. And the tunnels stretched so far, I don't even know if anyone else survived or simply lost themselves," she blinked, searching the horizon. "Hm. Do you know of any prey living nearby? I'm starving, almost literally." The aerodactyl sniffed the cold air.

"Oh..aren't those very small?" asked Sukun before adding, "Prey? Oh yeah there's plenty 'round here. We can probably find a giraferig...that would feed us both I think." Sukon was a young aerodactile, and therefor he was pretty small. Almost chibi. His wingspan was about 4 feet long and his body small and boney. "Well, we'd better fly then. They live in the forest..."
ooc: We should probably move this thread...we don't need to start a new one, I'll just move it..so where to lol?

(you can move the whole thread? Sweet XD anywhere is fine, but it has to be close, as Akeer isn't used to flying for long yet)
Akeer looked at her wings. Fly... hm... she hadn't flown for quite a while, but she quickly started beating her wings. They were still strong from climbing over rocks and tunnels, so in no time at all she found herself meters in the air. Her wingspan was seven feet long total, but as she was older than Sukun it wouldn't seem that surprising. "All right then... Lead the way, Sukun."

ooc: Yup lol. I can indeed.
"Ok," said Sukun, feeling dwarfed again. He'd always felt like a chibi around his parents and he felt it again near Akeer. He flew up easily, swooping towards the forest.

(coool O.O)
Akeer's eyes scanned the area. It was so light out because of the moon and stars that she found it incredibly easy to see at all, but knew the sun might destroy her retinas. She'd have to hunt by night and hide by day, she concluded. Then, below, she spotted a lone girafarig, probably a young, wandering male, eating the leaves off a tree far under them. She motioned to Sukun. "Down there."

"Yup," said Sukun, spotting the buck (I guess..?) as well. He flew through the trees silently. He'd grown accustomed to flying through branches quietly. He was small, so it was much easier. He glanced back at Akeer. "I'll make the first move and then you follow me," he whispered. Then Akeer's noise of going through the forest wouldn't be a problem. He struck the giraferig in the back, his claws grabbing on. "Now!" he shouted up to Akeer.

Akeer dove down right through the canopy and bit into the buck's neck, to suffocate it as quickly as possible, and latched onto it with her front claws and back talons. The weight and suddenness of both their attacks overthrew the girafarig quickly, and with a gurgle of a whine it stumbled onto the ground and died a quick death. "Good job," Akeer growled happily, letting go of the buck's neck. Ah, finally! After years of bone and fungus, a real meal.

"Thanks," said Sukun. It would barely be enough for more aerodactile, but if Akeer had been eating crap like she had just said for so long than her stomach would have shrunken down and she would need less. None the less, it would barely satisfy the two hungry Pokemon. He quickly chowed down, tearing some meat from the buck's flank.

[glow=red,2,300]An aerodactyl watched from the shadows as a small black aerodactyl with a white stomach jumped onto the back of a giraferig. He was grey all oever as a cloud covered day as were his wings. The black slits in his blood red eyes narrowed as he watched the much small aerodactyl try to hang on to the giraferig. It scratched the earth with its razor sharp talons and claws as it watched another white aerodactyl with some green hues, bigger than the first, fly above. The grey aerodactyl growled softly to itself, but held back in the shadows wishing not to be noticed.[/glow]

Eating always kept Sukun busy. He didn't hear the soft growl. All he heard were his own chops grinding the savoury meat away. It was a good, easy kill.

Akeer was not used to such cuisine, and after a few whopping big bites in the buck's neck, she found herself already full. Her mouth and arms covered in mess, the white aerodactyl sat casually back against the tree, yawning and content. But her acute senses picked up the faint hiss of another, and her gaze stiffened in the direction she heard it in. Someone was over there. She could not tell who... but it sounded big. She chose not to tell Sukun, who was obviously enjoying himself.

[glow=red,2,300]OOC: How big is Akeer? Oh, and fya its spelled aerodactyl not aerodactile : P
Glowing red eyes could be seen from the shadows where the growl came from. They began to come into the soft moon light and it was a grey aerodactyl. His eyes stopped glowing and they were the same blood red color as the other two aerodactyls. He looked to the white one and then the black, but he did not speak he only stared at them as if he were studying them.[/glow]

Sukun was surprised that Akeer had finished so soon. Oh well, that just meant more for him. He had soon stripped down half of the carcass. He sat back to digest a bit. He'd have somemore later. Since he only hunted every few days it was good to stuff himself when he did hunt.

[glow=red,2,300]The grey aerodactyl stepped into the light making itself visable to the other two. The white aero had quite a bit of blood on it and the small chibi black aero seemed to full to do much. The grey aero's gaze turned slowly back and forth between the other two, but he spoke not a word.[/glow]

(Akeer's wingspand is about seven to eight feet)
The white aero stepped back at the sight of the much bigger gray, but showed no signs of surprise. She exhaled through her nose to address Sukun, telling him there was something behind him. In return to the other's silence, she said nothing, only stood as tall as she could and waited to see what he'd do.

[glow=red,2,300]OOC: cool, but Drogoth is not gigantic like Rex.
They grey aerodactyl stared curiously back at the white one, studying her up and down. Drogoth could tell by the shape of her body and horns that she was female. He was taller, but not by a lot. Drogoth didn't really know what to say either, but he was not nervous. He found it curious that they all had the same blood colored eyes. The black aero seemed too intent upon the kill to notice, much to Drogoth's amusement.[/glow]

Akeer suddenly grinned in the moonlight. This served as quite entertaining, watching two aerodactyls, one oblivious to the other, one relatively big but not acting on it, which made her wonder what kind of events had occurred up here, while she was stuck in the underworld. She rolled her eyes after a few moments. "Sukun," clicked Akeer. "It seems we have a visitor. What is your name, gray?" she called out, her voice calm and collected.

Sukun had just finished up on the kill. Now only a small portion remained. A bad portion anyway, where the meat was stringy and tasteless. "Oh?" he muttered, his nostils flairng. The blood was out of his nose enough that he could smell the aerodactile behind him. Slowly, the young black and white aerodactile looked around. In the moonlight a grey male was watching him. Obviously adult by his size.
"Hello...?" said Sukun, not quite sure how to address the other aero.
