A small darkly shaded figure made way through the brush. It was lowered, nearly dragging and crawling over the tough Savanna terrain. Wiggling through the brush and other low foliage, the figure seemed to quickly slow it's pace.
Stealing into the open for what appeared to be a split second, the creature became visible as a dark poochyena with indigo eyes. However, not all the details; like her long fur and tail, chain and collar, etc; could not be made out for she was back into the brush just like that.
Now stopped, the female dog stopped, looking contently toward what her soft eyes glared into. They danced and glistened, but once again where gone with in seconds as she seemed to have disappeared with mighty speed. She the started to make her move on what she had spotted.
Slipping forward and into the ground, her mouth gave off a purple glow. Her body gave a small shake and then leaped with great power into the air. Her collar shimmered, Revealing her name. Kynseng. Kynseng the might. Kynseng, the daughter of Lupe and Renegade, both once great alphas of the north. The daughter that would never give up and would someday get vengeance on those responsible for what had happened. Yes, Kynseng.
Her claws extended and her fangs now shone in the most dastardly way. The body then shook with impact as it locked and tore at what was hit, trying to keep a grip. She had struck her target, a young tauros as it appeared that had wandered there by mistake.
Kynseng then tried to get her now fully purple fangs to close the deal. Lunging up again, her claws scrapped against the flank and then up toward the neck, there her jaws came down. Would she get the bull on target? If so would she poison him with this strong poison fang attack?
The poochyena snarled and then lunged down, waiting to charge after the beast in case it didn't work. Backing up, her body blended back into the brush. She might have been a nice creature, but when she was hungry, she meant business.

" You think you can take that down on your own?" A young absol came trotting over, attracted by the scent of prey.
The tauros calf, young but still a good deal bigger than the poochyena, tried to run from his attacker, but the absol, still in puppy phase himself, moved to cut it off. Maybe the two of them could take it down.

Kynseng turned her head to spot an Absol. Her tail lifted and gave a flick as her muzzle lifted. Sniffing in a scent of the small breeze, she could not tell much about him, yet. They were too far away.
Her eyes softened and she grinned. "Possibly... I've nearly done it before" She chuckled and then flashed her head back to look at the Tauros calf. Her paws tore up the dirt beneath them and she took off toward him.
Dropping down low, she maneuvered to the side so that she would not get kicked by a moving hoof. Her jaws opened again and she took a snap at one of the legs. If she could break it, he would fall. That was for sure.
Her eyes lifted to glance a look at the Absol once more before she lost balance, barely catching herself from being kicked. Ducking, she slid across the ground, snapping her teeth once more as another try for the bull. Maybe together, they could get him...

The absol ran round to the other side and used his big claws to slash at the tauros' other leg. He missed a direct hit, but managed to knock the tauros a little off balance. The calf staggered, trying to get his gait back.

Kynseng used this as her chance. Her eyes glowed with a sort of unreal purple. She let a growl start from the bottom of her throat and then ripple to the top, and finally come out her jaws. Her fur rustled with the breeze and her tail was now fluffed with dirt and brush.
Her ears gave a small twitch and then she tried once more. If she got him with this snap, then she would be kicked, but hopefully she would break his hind hoof.
Pulling forward, she closed her teeth on the leg as it kicked and knocked her through the air. She yipped and crashed into the dirt, sprawling head over heels. As she finally subsided, her back was propped against a rock and she was upside down, brown from the dirt.
Rolling over and getting to her feet, she looked over to see the calf struggled forward, not sure if she had gotten her target or not. Kynseng snarled gently as her lips curled up and back, waiting for the chance to move in again.

The absol made a leap for the animal's throat. He bit at its neck, but missed the vital jugular. He hung on, trying to get a better grip as the tauros calf bucked and tried to fling him off.

Kynseng shook her head from side to side. He had the Tauros, but missed the spot needed. His hoof was bleeding and seemed nearly sprained. Her eyes gave a small glisten and the dog looked about her.
Finally, she choose a spot, dissapearing into the brush as she moved swiftly towards them. Now she was in the right spot. Sliding too the side, she hoped forward and clenched her jaws right on the bleeding wound.
Something snapped and the bull sprawled head over heels. Down he went, crashed head first into the floor and then flipping over desperatly. He tried to take off once more, but ending up crying out in pain.
Kynseng had nearly been squished between his massive body, barely getting out of the way. She had finally completed her task and now dove in, tearing at his flank, waiting for the absol to make a finaly blow and kill the Tauros off.
Licking her chops, she sniffed the prey, looking around just in case any others were around to protect the dying calf. Her tail swished, and she backed up, still waiting for the absol to finish off the Tauros. Man was she hungry!

The absol finally ripped into the calf's throat. With a savage jerk he tore out a chunk of flesh and blood flowed copiously from the wound. The calf quickly bled to death...but the absol didn't wait for him to die before starting to eat. Out here, there was no time to spare. They were two pups and packs full of adults could easily kill them and take their kill.

ooc: Mind if I join in?
ic: The kill of the taros calf had not gone unnoticed in the herd. A large tauros bull came galloping over towards where the dogs were now feasting on the orphan calf. He roared and kicked at the absol and poochyena angerly. The calf was dead, but he could still get revenge on the little murderers.
The bull's large hooves flew painfully fast towards the absol, whish was closer. A savage roar came from his throat as he aimed for the absol's head. He'd get payback for the loss of another calf. This was the third calf they'd lost to dogs and this would be the first dogs they punished. Pups, they appeared to be.

The absol knew that prey could often be vengeful towards the pokemon who preyed on them. But he hadn't been prepared for it this time. He just barely ducked the flying hooves. " Shit! RUN!" He ran from the fresh kill; his own life was more valuable than a meal right now. And once they had gotten rid of this bull, maybe they could head back to it.

Angry that one predator had gotten away, the bull gave a loud snort and kicked dirt after it. He didn't notice the poochyena hadn't raced away yet. Snorting and grunting, it turned and headed back to its herd. He'd keep a better eye on the predators now.
"Woah that was a close one." A femalehoundour crept out of some brush. She was pretty small, but she was a year old already. She'd been born last spring. The odd thing about her was her back wasn't home to any bone ridges what so ever. "Damn bulls are getting worse about stealing their babes....you should be able to go back to your kill soon. Your friend might not even have to leave!"

" Oh, trust me I'll stick around." The wind had ruffled up the absol's long fur, which wasn't yet as long as it would be as an adult, and made it stick out at odd angles, giving him a scruffy look.

The houndour laughed. "We should stick together...I don't know about you and your friend, but I've got no home anymore...No adult pack wants me." Even at a year old, she was still a pup. She'd matured slowly, and wouldn't be considered an adult for another year or so. She also desperatly wanted friends...she needed to get back at the pack that had made her so guilty she'd simply had to move on.

The absol took this information in. If no pack wanted her she might be bad news. " Why does no pack want you?"

"They got tricked into thinking I killed the alpha's only living pup." She could easily talk about it now. "My brother always hated me. The pup was heading towards the water. In the water I saw a feraligator was waiting to eat it. I ran up to it to pick it up and move it away, but it got scared my my running--I was loud and clumsy at the time--and it ran into the water. And to its death. My brother tricked everyone into thinking I'd pushed the pup in and been too careless to see the gator. And I was clumsy at the time so they believed him. And then it was just too much for me. They all hated me. So I left." She didn't know what made her pour out her life story to a stranger. But she did. And it didn't bother the houndour. "and where I came from in the forest, word got around too damn fast for me to make a life there."

" I've always been on my own, since I was old enough to," said the young absol. " Sorry bout that story of yours...My name's Shar. You?"

The houndour shrugged. "After I left it didn't bother me as much. I knew it wasn't my fault and that was enough for me. And I'm Sierra. Nice to meet ya."

" Yeah thanks." Shar licked his paw where a spot of blood had gotten. " Well I want to head back to see what's going on with that other pup...maybe we can have our kill back."
