Afternoon walk

[Xipil]

A black Riolu padded through the trees, looking at the types of berries. He walked up to one, then lept back, using Quick Attack to ram it, and caught a berry that fell.

[Pidgey]

Nestled within the lush green foliage of her favorite tree, a young Taillow was preparing to enjoy a nice snack - a plump, juicy Pecha berry. Pecha berries were the favorite food of Aryll, the little bird had an insatiable sweet tooth, figuratively speaking, of course, since birds don't actually have teeth.*

Opening her beak wide, Aryll took a chunk out of the berry and swallowed it greedily. She was enjoying her meal, and she did not even notice a lone Riolu making his way through the undergrowth.

All of a sudden, the tree began to shake violently beneath her little pink feet. Aryll fluttered her wings to maintain her perch, but the berry slipped from her grasp and fell. But before it could hit the ground, it was intercepted by a hungry mouth.

The Taillow ruffled her feathers in annoyance, glaring down at the Riolu, who was now in possession of her prized Pecha berry. "What's the big idea!?" She squawked, stomping her feet. "That's my lunch!"

[Xipil]

"That's how life goes. You lose something precious to you, and never get it back." The Riolu replied, starting to walk away, his voice filled with sadness. "Unless you want to fight for it." He seemed to be convincing the Tailow of the inevitablity of battle. "I lost my mother, and I shall fight to my last breath to destroy the beasts who killed her. If you want this berry back, you'd better be prepared to do the same." His voice was serious.

For a moment, Aryll thought that the Riolu was making fun of her, causing hot anger to rise in her chest. She thought about using a Quick Attack to steal her lunch back. But as he continued, the Taillow detected a sadness in his tone that persuaded her not to attack just yet.

"I lost my mother, and I shall fight to my last breath to destroy the beasts who killed her. If you want this berry back, you'd better be prepared to do the same."

Again, Aryll was compelled to think that the Riolu was mocking her, but his serious expression told her that he wasn't kidding around. "I'm sorry for your loss," she replied, "but that still doesn't give you the right to take my lunch. I will battle you for it." She declared, launching her little body into the air.

With a quick stroke of her wings, she launched a Quick Attack, streaking through the air like a feathered missile. Her target: the Pecha berry still clenched in the Riolu's hand.

The Riolu smiled. He watched as she began to swoop towards the berry, then used Quick Attack as well, to move out of the way, the berry now further to the right as the bird flew by it's previous location. "You're distracted. Going after the berry." He mocked the tailow, then set down the berry, charging at the bird from behind with Quick Attack.

[Sakuya]

Shadow sighs, she was dumb enough to run off somewhere without Sakuya or Ai and have gotten lost. She was thinking where they could be at but pushed the thought aside in her mind and hears some squawks, 'Must be a bird poke...' She thought while trotting over to where she heard it and reconizes that kind of bird "Wonder what's happening?" She said quietly and hides behind some tall grass.

She watches the two Pokemon, the black one seemed to be sad and she pityed him for the loss but just looks at the bird like she was crazy 'Just for some dumb berry? Wow..' She would have said it outloud but she didn't want tov be rude or anything

[Xipil]

As the Riolu caught up with the Tailow, he lept, hoping to land on it's back. He, being so focused on his scrap with the bird, didn't notice the newcoming Growlithe as he fought.

[Sakuya]

The oddly colored Growlithe just looks at the Riolu and just looks at the grass then her fur noticing she stood out quite well Well looks like being blue and silver has its downsides,' She thought with a small groan thinking of all the bigger Pokemon finding her easily in grass then she walks out a bit since she will be noticed anyway....

[Xipil]

"Ah, a newcomer, an ally of yours perhaps?" The Riolu commented, finally noticing the Growlithe as she stepped out. Inwardly, he sighed. If I had any decent moves i could deal with them both. Instead i'm stuck with Endure, Foresight, and Quick Attack...

[Sakuya]

As Shadow hears this she nearly fell back "EH?! What an ally?!" she almost screamed but held it back then the Growlithe sighs "Look,i'm not here to cause trouble or anything, really!" She said throwing her hands....er....front paws up and laughs nervously

[Xipil]

"Makes no difference to me." The Riolu said, looking at the growlithe with interest. "I could take you both." He was bluffing, and hoped she wouldn't take him up on it. But if she did, it would be good training for his future fights. "All i can do right now is train. But when i've evolved, i'll be ready to revenge my mother's death." He left out the only weakness in his plan, he needed a friend in order to evolve. A close friend. In his condition, a friend would be hard to find. He couldn't trust anyone. He drew his thoughts back to the matter at hand. "you can watch, but i'll keep an eye on you." He warned the Growlithe, then ran to catch up with the Tailow, who had gotten further away while he had been talking.

[Sakuya]

Shadow puffs her chest, was he trying to make her more upset then she is now?! Plus to make matters worst he wasn't trusting her, she was innocent and wouldn't harm a caterpie..unless she was hungry 'But still no reason to think i'll hurt anything!' She yelled in her mind while making some small growls, it was bad enough that she didn't know where Sakuya and Ai was, but she just does the anime sigh then walks over to the tree and lays down beside it

[Xipil]

in response to the growling, the Riolu looked over his shoulder as though he expected her to be leaping at him. He watched her as she layed down, then returned his main focus back to the bird.

[Sakuya]

Shadow just rakes her claws in the ground and sighs more, still thinkinh where they could be then tossed that thought aside for now to focus of her clan that is traveling somewhere with her parents in it,she keeps raking the ground and blows a small flame from her muzzle, she seemed pretty bored right about now

[Xipil]

(... it's kinda hard to fight someone if they don't post, so i'm just gonna give up on attacking the Tailow.)

The Riolu watched as the bird continued to fly away, making no attempts to turn back. He figured it was fleeing, and called, "Not so brave, for a Tailow." Then turned back towards the Growlithe. "So, why are you here?" He walked over to the Pecha Berry they had scrapped over, picked it up, and took a bite.

[Sakuya]

The Growlithe looks up at him "Well..Uh..I have gotten lost from my adopted sisters while they were sleeping still.." She mumbled still playing with the earth with her claws

[Xipil]

"Humph. Good riddance. Others are just dead weight." The Riolu said, then added. "The name's Shade." He looked around, taking another bite out of the berry.

[Sakuya]

Shadow eyes widen a little bit but return to normal size and was quiet before speaking in a soft voice "I'm Shadow.." she said while she plays with a leaf she had just found

[Xipil]

"Well, Shadow," Shade began, pausing to finish the berry. "What do you want to do in your lifetime?" He was asking because he needed a friend, and this Growlithe seemed to be friendly. Perhaps he could learn to trust her.

[Sakuya]

Shadow thinks, there was alot she usually does but the thing she did the most- "Well I like to play alot." She said honestly and a small leaf lands on her nose and shakes it off her nose a bit

[Pidgey]

Frustrated, the Taillow had climbed higher into the air to keep herself out of the Riolu's range as she planned her next course of action. But she was too late: a glance back at the Riolu revealed that he had consumed her precious berry.

With an irritated squawk, Aryll tucked her wings back and dove at the Riolu, flaring her wings and tail just before colliding with him to bring herself to a soft landing on his head. The little bird leaned over, so that she could look the theif in the eye. "This isn't over." She muttered, paying little attention to the Growlithe standing nearby.

(it's allright. I'm just a little impatient if I can't roleplay for any reason. In any other situation i'm more patient...)

"That was not what I meant, What do you wish to do lat-" He was cut off as the Tailow landed on his head, and glanced at Shadow, his appearance humorous. He shook his head, trying to dislodge the Tailow from his skull.

[Sakuya]

Shadow giggles a bit but looks at the taillow "Oh,your that...crazy bird.. that wanted a berry." she said, trying to remeber the bird,not really the great choice of words but she didn't seem to be noticed by it.

[Xipil]

"What's so funny?" Shade said, still trying to knock the bird off his head. "You could help out." he finally resorted to charging towards a tree using Quick Attack, hoping to squash the bird between himself and the tree.

[Sakuya]

Shadow sighs "Just hold still,will ya?" She asked him while walking over to Shade and they crazy taillow that won't give up and sighs again, this day was just getting weirder and weirder...

[Xipil]

"I'd like to see you hold still when there's bird talons embedded in your head." Shade said, stopping and standing still anyway. "Not the best feeling in the world."

[Sakuya]

"Oh just stop whineing will you?" she asked and and hops up on her hind legs, using the Riolu to hold up her front paws. The Grwolithe looks at the Taillow, staring at the bird "Ya know it's not very nice to perch yourself on a Pokemons head." she said and bites gently on the taillows claw, and tries to take her off without hurting Shade.

[Xipil]

Shade was impressed by the ferocity coming from Shadow. Perhaps she would be a good friend. Certainly seemed strong enough, as she pulled at the talons, he was able to get his head out from under the bird. "Thanks." He said simply, looking at the Growlithe.

[Sakuya]

Shadow's front paws come back to the ground again and she put the taillow on the ground and looks at Shade and smiles "Your welcome." she said and just smiles more

[Xipil]

"And as for you, I'll kick you across the meadow if you ever do that again." Shade said to the Tailow. He felt strange around the Growlithe, a good feeling. He had no idea what it could have been, but he felt... the only word to describe it would be happy. A smile came across his face unbidden, his face becoming pleasent for a change.
