Lava Sone Hopping!

[Sakuya]

A black vulpix hopped the stones with her little partner in crime along with Ai, Ai just relaxing on a rocky land while her two adopted sisters jumped on the rocks.

After all the jumping on the rocks the blue Growlithe stopped after the black Vulpix "Hey Saku, im gonna take a rest next to Ai." The Growlithe points at the Cyndaquil relaxing.The said Vulpix turns around "Kay,Shadow.." She called out to the blue Growlithe named Shadow and keeps hopping on the rocks careful to not fall in the lava.

Kayuma had no idea why he was here. The heat wasn't too bad; the sun's rays back home were actually far worse during the summer, it was why he came here. He wasn't looking for training anymore, just something to do. A clan elder he'd seen said some young Pokemon his age played games in here sometimes. Maybe he'd find some and they'd let him play. As long as it didn't involve anything with fire, he'd be just fine. The Electrike smiled to himself, the sparks in his fur crackling with excitement.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya makes a small yip as she almost lands in the fire burning a bit of one of her tails "OWWW HOT!!" She shouted and rushed back to Ai and Shadow,whimpering and patting her tails on the ground to put the fire out.
Ai sighs "What did you do this time, Saku?" She asked her being disturbed from her sleep but went back to sleep after she said that with just Shadow giggling at Sakuya while Sakuya glares at the she-growlithe.

Kayuma was rattled by the sound of someone crying out. He looked back and forth, trying to use the echoes to pinpoint where it came from. "Mmm. That way." He ran forward and stopped at a clifflike structure coming upon one of the strangest scenes ever.

Two Pokemon were attempting (and eventually succeeded) to put out a fire on a Vulpix's tail. He smiled to himself. They were all around his age, if not slightly older. Maybe they'd play with him.

"Hey!" he called, "Having a little trouble down there?" He wasn't sure if they could see it, but he was smiling rather smugly, a little amused, and feeling rather upbeat.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya looks up and grins then hoppes up the rocks to the new pokemon "Hi! And no just burnt my tail..a bit.." She said shyly while Shadow jumps up with her and scroffs "Yeah right! A bit!?" The Growlithe yelled loudly not understanding she is standing next to them.

Sakuya's ears ring a bit but she shakes it off and smiles at Kayuma "Anyway, Im Sakuya but call me Saku for short." Said Sakuya and Shadow pipps up "And I'm Shadow!" Shadow said excitedly

"I'm Kayuma," the Electrike chuckled, still somewhat amused. A game might just be what he needed, provided he didn't get burned in the process. "I've come a long way in search of fighting experience. But... that's not why I'm here." He glanced around, a smirk playing on his lips. "I passed through a travelers' camp earlier, and one of the elders told me some Pokemon play games here."

He sniffed at Shadow. "Would you like to play?" he asked, his nose an inch from the Growlithe's.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya grins fox like....er.. make that vulpix like and says in a slow mocking tone "Oh she would loooove to." Sakuya snickers while Shadow stays a bit silent from him being so close "Uh...Yeah....What she said.." Shadow muttered but loud enough for them to hear.

"Well I'm gonna tell Ai that we will be with someone else so she won't worry to watch us.." The black,red, and silver Vulpix said as she trotted over to the sleeping Cyndaquil, that would be yet again woken up.

The oddly colored Growlithe suddenly askes "Soo, what do you want to play?" She asked Kayuma, bored as she watches Sakuya wake Ai up again only to be shoted at with Ember and giggles as Sakuya tries to put the fire out again screaming "Oh my god!! Not again!!".

Shadow's lips curl into a smirk as she watchings her 'sister' runn around with fire on her tails again.

Kayuma sweatdropped. What company these three were. They reminded him of the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and thr Doormouse from Alice and Wonderland (hey, where did that come from?!). In other words, one was a little silly, another was simply strange, and the last liked to sleep. And, of course, they were all a little crazy. Kayuma was beginning to think that just being with them was a game. What fun these three would be... if they could ever get any kind of game going.

"What a pity Thunder Wave doesn't have much of an effect on fire," he mused, "but i wonder if I could make it work somehow?" He shrugged, or did something that resembled one, and padded after them. He called out to the Vulpix, "Sorry if this hurts any!" and pounced, the electricity in his fur crackling with the boom of a Thunder Wave. The Vulpix sat, dazed, the fire out. "Hey, cool, it worked!" Kayuma laughed at his success.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya shakes her body and ruffles her tails "Jeeze, Ai you don't have to be so harsh!" Said a steaming (no pun intended) Vulpix and the Cyndaquil growls and shots a glare at the Vulpix, but didnt seem to have any affect on Sakuya and the black,red,and silver fox trotted to the two.

Shadow looks at her and raises an eyebrow "Did you tell her?" She asked Sakuya while she grins nervously "Um, well, you see.." She trailed while the blue Growlither growls "You Baka!!" She screamed and the Vulpix ran off in fear of being Shadow's new chew toy.

The dog-like pokemon started to walk and looks over her shoulder to Kayuma "You commin' Kayuma?" she asked the lightning pokemon.

Kayuma 'shurgged' again. "Sure. You three are interesting. And quite amusing I must add." He chuckled, trotting.

"So how did you all get together? I mean, a Vulpix, a Growlithe, and a Cyndiquil... a few of you are living far away from where you'd normally be. Don't you Growlithe live in packs with Arcanine?"

[Sakuya]

Shadow sighs "Long story actually.." she said while trotting over to Ai and Sakuya and Ai looks at them "Hm? Oh you must be the one that put that ember out on Sakuya, no?" she asked him while Shadow sits down and Sakuya ust runs off somewhere

Kayuma chuckled sheepishly. "Yeah... with Thunder Wave. I wasn't exactly sure if it would work..." He chuckled again. "But I'm a quick thinker and so I guess that's why it worked out somehow." He shook himself and straightened up. "Anyway, I've told you who I am, I think... well, I'm Kayuma. I'm from a long way away, from the West Savannas. My clan's elder saw I wasn't behaving like I always did and he called me to his den."

Come to think of it, Kayuma thought, I noticed it too. I felt kind of...off. Unsettled. Kayuma looked up a little, as if doing so would help him remember. "He talked with me and he asked me things and eventually he told me I needed to go on a spiritual journey. Spiritual journeys are sacred to my clan, and I felt honored."

Kayuma half-smiled at the memory. "But when I asked what kind of journey it was, he told me I had to leave. To find my inner power is what I think he said. I felt a little sad about leaving, but being on my own kind of has its own ups and downs too." He laughed softly, shaking his head. "So what about you three? Where do you all come from?"

[Sakuya]

The Cyndaquil was silenced then spoke "I'm not so sure anymore, I travled my whole life, acutally." Ai said while Sakuya sighed "I'm from some plains thats a long way from here but then something terrible happend and I was looking for a new clan to be in but Ai basically adopted me and Shadow." Shadow nodded "Yeah, i'm actually born from down the bottom of here but my family is somewhere else now.." Shadow said but she grins again

Kayuma grinned back at his three new aquaintances.

"I suppose that's not so bad. You guys must have seen a lot, traveling together. You have some prtection that way too." His green ears twitched, crackling hotly, the electrons binding with one another in the heat and sending a small shower of sparks through his fur.

"Oops," he said, "I guess it's a little hot in here..." He chuckled again and looked around gesturing to the inside of the cavern. "Well, duh, we are in a volcano. Anyway, you guys want to play a game or anything? I've always wanted to go stone hopping. I thought, since you've been here awhile, that one of you might know how to play."

[Sakuya]

Shadow pippes up at this and gets up holding her head up a bit, smirking "It's easy, you have to have really good balance too!" She said excitingly then suddenly runs to the stones, gracefuly hopping on to one rock to another in just a second, showing she has been playing this game for a while now then she turns to them, still smirking with a small grin in it too.

Sakuya sighs, looks like she was going next. "Yeah Shadow's right you need some good balance, at frist you'll start slow but then you get kinda faster after a while, I guess..." Sakuya trailed but leaps on a rock "Now you try!" Sakuya called out to Kayuma while Shadow nods "Yeah!" she said happily and a bit loud, not really nowing other Pokemon may be sleeping and her yelling may distub them..

Kayuma tested the closest rock with his right forepaw. It was surprisingly cool. He put a little pressure on it. His paw slipped a little on its smooth surface. It was also slippery. How briefly wondered how but in an instant didn't care. He hopped onto it, steadying himself. He looked quickly for another one and jumped just before a bubble of lava burst and just barely nicked his tail.

"Whew, that was close. I guess the point of this game is to hop from stone to stone before you get burnt." He smiled. "I like that." Kayuma kept jumping from stone to stone, carefully and methodically, but quickly.

When he reached the other side, he puffed up the forr on his chest with triumph. "Now that's game, no?" Kayuma laughed.

[Sakuya]

The vulpix just chuckles while the Grwolithe nods "Yep, thats the point of the game!" Shadow shouted again hopping to the ground while Sakuya hops to another rock and Shadow grins and then bumps into a Pokemon. The Pokemon breathes heavily making the fur on Shadow blow forward and Shadow looks behind her to find a mad Ponyta, Shadow gulps nervously "Uh? Hi?" She said, nervously tugging at her voice looking at the onyx eyes of the fire horse

If the Electrike could have, he would have paled. Ponyta were not the best Pokemon in the world to mess with. You couldn't always fight them, and you couldn't always hide from them, but the one thing you absolutly could not do was run from them. Unless you knew Extremespeed, which, of course, he didn't.

"Uh, guys? Problem?"

He chuckled and slowly walked up beside the three misfits (he had to give their little group a name sooner or later) chuckling nervously. "Um... ma'am or sir? we, ah, didn't mean to disturb you... we can, ah, just, er, go if you need us..." He chuckled again, breathing rapidly. Charisma was so obviously not his thing.

[Sakuya]

Shadow nods feriously "Y-yeah, we-we did-din't mean to-too bother you." She said while shaking a bit while Sakuya glups, where was Ai at, surely she would know their in trouble right?*Meanwhile where Ai is at* Ai sleeps peacfully without the fighting and yelling she had some time to relax

Kayuma looked around. The blue Cyndiquil had not been where he'd thought at first. Where exactly was Ai, as they called him?

Oh, he thought, staring into the deep, angry eyes of a Ponyta, he's asleep. Wonderful.

"Okay, I've got it all figured out. Yeah, yeah... okay, if we all turn around and run like idiots across the stones, we'll be so fast, we'll stun this mare." He laughed shakily, knowing it was such a hairbrained plan that wouldn't work. But then again, if people said that, it would occasionally work. But he'd probably messed that factor up now, anyway.

"On the count of three. One... two... three!

[Sakuya]

"RUN!!" both screamed the girls and started to run acrosses the stones, the Ponyta looks at them, the fire horse being confused at all of them running around like idiots on crack and makes a annoyed and confused whinny

He bolted.

It was like he wasn't even touching the stones when he ran (though, truth be told, he was, cause a level 5 Electrike can't really learn much else). He felt the hot volcanic wind rushing through the crevaces of his fur, swriling, and curling around every hair, pushing him along.

"Woo-hoo!" he said, the adrenaline pumping through him, "This is fun!"

[Sakuya]

The fox and puppy pokemon cry in glee while hopping around,jumping from one cool stone to another, it was like the game to the extreme! And the two pokemon liked this kind of game though the Ponyta didn't and gave up, galloping away before it could be confused even more.

Skidding to a halt at the very end of the dirt, a comical cloud englufing him, he regained his composure, stood there for a few seconds, and then...

Coughed.

Cough, cough, hack, wheeze. "Well it was fun while it lasted," he muttered hacking through the two more clouds of dust that were Sakuya and Shadow. He shook his head and ruffled his fur, like he'd just come out of a hot spring, shaking sparkles of harmless static over the duo.

"Oops, sorry." He laughed, and heat came into his cheeks, giving them a redder tint than before.

[Sakuya]

The two girls were covered in soot so they looked like black snowmen and blinks and grins It's ok, Kayuma."Sakuya said and shakes off the bolts and soot while Shadow does the same and coughs a bit "That was fun! But I'd suggest not doing it again." Shadow said grining as her blue and silver fur came back

Kayuma grinned. "You guys know some pretty cool stuff. Maybe playing a game or two might just be what I need to get my spirits up!" Kayuma laughed, lifting his left hind leg to scratch behind his ear. His right hind leg padded up and down -dog style- in his momentary bliss.

When he stopped, he simply smiled. "I think your personalities are already rubbing off of me!" He laughed again, with a little more gusto this time.

[Sakuya]

Shadow just grins while Sakuya smirks "Heh, didn't know are personalities are contagious." Sakuya said while laughing a bit while Shadow lays down "Maybe I should look around before I yell next time,eh?" Shadow said while anime sweat dropping and chuckling nervously

"Yeah, that would be nice," Kayuma said sarcastically, digging around in the dirt with his nose, sniffing for anything edible. Finally, he found a truffle, and dug into it, licking his lips when he was done. "Mmm. You should try that. It's not often I fin done of these, but since volcanic soil is so fertile...I suppose that's why there's so many here..."

[Sakuya]

Shadow turns her head to the other side and sniffs the ground too before digging it up and finding a truffle. She sniffs it a bit then eats a bit of it then grins and eats the rest of it "That's pretty good!" Shadow said

"Told you. Back home on the Savannah, these are rare delicacies usually saved for elders as a reward for living as long as they have.' He licked up the last morsels of his truffle.

"But, since I'm on my own, if there's anyone that's gonna have one, it's gonna be me."
