Grace and Fury

[Omni]

Quip shot up out of the glassy surface of the water like a torpedo. doing a flip, she aimed herself carefully at the target rock. Coming down, she hit it with a headbutt with crippling force. The rock split, and she landed with a soft plop on the shore. Most pokemon couldn't take a hit like that, but thanks to the hard shell on a Homulusk's head, she didn't feel a thing. Sitting down, she grinned with accomplishment. She was getting better.

A Flygon flitted across the lake, admiring the color of her gold and navy blue wings in the reflection of the water. She looked up and saw a small creature split a rock and flew closer, stopping about 5 feet away.

[ghost]

a eevee was padding along shore. near a strange creature. he went over to it and then started to glow.he was evolving! into a Glaceon!

[Omni]

Noticing the pokemon who approached, Quip stood. "Umm... Hello. I was just practicing my headbutt... I hope I wasn't disturbing you..." She knew that this pokemon was probably stronger than her. She hoped she hadn't annoyed it with her splashing in and out of the water and crashing into rocks. She then turned to see another pokemon aproach. "Oh no, I am causing a ruckus, aren't I?"

"No. Not at all. I'm Lyran, by the way." The Flygon said, "Do you come here often?"

[ghost]

When ice was fully evolved he padded closer and said. " hi, i'm ice you?" he was friendly, real friendly.

[Omni]

This was a pleasant surprise. Neither pokemon was angry with her. "Hello Lyran, Ice. I'm Quip. No, I can't say I come here often, but I'll probably wander back here again. It's a great area. I pretty much go wherever there's water." She blushed. "I was trying to practice my attacks. Unfortunately, I'm not very strong."

"Well, I do hope you become stronger." Lyran said, her tail brushing the water. Her glassy blue eyes scanned the sky. Not a cloud drifted overhead as the sun shone cheerily down on the sparkling lake.

[ghost]

"have you heard about artemis?" Ice asked. he had watched the battle in the bushes i little bit away, suprised that no opne had sented him.

Lyran thought for a moment, "I'm not sure, why?" The flygon's head tilted, watching the Glaceon. Her small dragonfly wings were tiring. She lowered herself to the water, where her wingbeats stopped and she waded to shore.

[ghost]

"well, i heard or saw really, that artemis was a noctowl that waslike moon colored. she was pushy and cruel the way i saw her. she captures pokemon and uses them for her doing, she even calls some of then doll abd toy. more than that she tried to kill to ninetails and steal their kits." it was a mouth full.he flopped in the sand and used icy wind to make the sand turn to ice.

"Hmm...." Lyran noticed that the sand had turned icy, "No ice, please." the Dragon- type said.

[ghost]

ice looked confused. then said. "ooooh." the heat soon melted the ice into water.

As the afternoon wore on, the clouds darkened and rain began to pelt the lake and Pokemon. Lyran, a Ground type, hurried to the cover of trees, where the rain was softened by the many leaves.

[ghost]

Ice laughed a bit and then dived into the water. swimming away.

((Wow guys, kinda ran away with the thread...))

Timid as she was, Quip dared not interject into the conversation. Not to mention that she knew nothing about this Artemis, so she had nothing to add. Feeling left out, she wondered if it would be best just to leave the two to talk. Luckily, it began to rain at that point. Ice departed, and Lyran retreated under a tree to avoid the water. This was her chance. Making no effort to avoid the droplets, she slowly walked up to Lyran. "So... I noticed that you don't care much for ice or water." Quip loved the rain, as it felt refreshing against her body so used to being submerged.

"Yes... the desert never receives rain, and by being part Dragon, the ice isn't my freind either." Lyran said, watching the droplets fall, "But sometimes the water does feel good, like the scattered drops of rain..."

[Omni]

"I love the feel of the rain. It's like being in a home outside the water..." She closed her eyes and let the droplets splash against her face. Being a water pokemon, she just couldn't get enough of it. To her, a rainstorm was equivalent to a cler sunny sky.

"Yes... sometimes the rain in the deset is a blessing... but sometimes it brings the destruction of the Trapinch burrows..." Lyran said, remembering the flood of the burrows the year she left, the bodies of innocent Trapinch littering the baking desert sands.

[Omni]

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize..." Quip muttered, lowering her head. "I'm sorry if I caused any bad memories. It was not my intention..." She shuffled around awkwardly.

[Maru]

A jolteon jumping around in the ran and on to rocks, jumping from 1 to another and then dived into the shallow water and came back on land to shake off the lake's water and saw the flygon and a hybrid of some sort and walked over to them "hi im stormy whats your name" Stormy said standing in then rain. static was jumping alittle from a part of his body to another like it was building up for an attack, and he used thunder stright up

[Omni]

Seeing the electricity building, Quip squealed in fright, jumping quickly behing te tree as the attack shot into the air. Poking her head out from behind the tree, quivering, she asked "What are you doing?! You could've hit us!"

[Maru]

"im not it cant be a storm without lightning duh" Stormy said sending another one flying up

[Omni]

"EEP!!" She exclaimed, ducking back behind the tree. She hated electric attacks, since she was a water pokemon.

Lyran gritted her teeth. "Stop. Now." she said calmly, using a Sandstorm attack to get rid of the lightning and rain. "See, if there's an innocent, harmless water pokemon around, you don't go shooting off Thunder attacks." the sands ripped through the air, lightly wearing the bark off nearby trees.

[Maru]

"ok... " Stormy said pulling all the electric back into his body "their, how is that" he felt a little jolt from the energy he just took in and ran around the lake a couple of times to use it up

[Omni]

Quip poked her head back out from behind the tree. "Is it safe?" She was still trembling.

As soon as the Jolteon pulled his lightming back, the sandstorm subsided. She turned to Quip, "Yeah. Everything's alright." she watched the Jolteon run around the lake.

[Omni]

((Okay, I guess maru isn't going to post, so I will.))

"O...okay..." She said, stepping out from behind the tree and facing Lyran. "Thanks for helping me out. That Jolteon is a little... off, and it scared me when a pokemon like that started shooting off electric attacks..."

"It's fine... some Pokemon can just be plain idiotic like that, with no concern for others." lyran shook her hea, arms crossed.
